Colon...and we changed it because we REALLY REALLY loved our history narratives Anglicized back in the day.

I find this caution just a bit too casual

"Tests of a Louisiana parish's water supply confirmed the presence of a rare amoeba blamed for last month's death of a 12-year-old boy.

The state's Department of Health & Hospitals said Thursday the Naegleria fowleri amoeba, which causes a generally fatal brain infection, was found in tests of St. Bernard Parish water conducted by the federal Centers for Disease Control.

The water is safe to drink, state officials said, although they continued to caution against getting water in the nose, the route the amoeba takes.

The parish water supply came under suspicion because its chlorine levels were low. Chlorine kills the amoeba, said state Assistant Health Secretary J.T. Lane.

Lane said the parish, along the Gulf Coast southeast of New Orleans, began flushing water lines with chlorine last week, a process that will continue for several weeks until chlorine levels reach recommended levels.

A Mississippi boy who had played on water slide made out of a long sheet of plastic while visiting St. Bernard Parish contracted amoebic meningoencephalitis and died last month. Tests at the home where he was playing found the Naegleria fowleri amoeba."

---------------------------------

This would be the same water supply people shower with? Just don't get it up your nose? WTF?
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Good point.

"Never mind the boy who got the brain-eating amoeba up his nose and died after playing on a slip-n-slide, he was foolish enough to let a drop of water touch the inside of his nostril - obviously, reckless behavior."

Why do the Charlotte police frown on black men looking for help from white people?

Give Char/Meck PD credit, they charged the cop with manslaughter yesterday. If he was a member of the NYPD he would be heralded as a protector of the public for any future crime committed by the demographically high crime risk challenged citizen...

Very true.

As a total non sequitir aside, (spurred by bumping into some review for a movie about the princess) I don't understand any of the loving fascination with Princess Diana. She's a small step above Arnold Schwartzenegger in her actions. It gets compounded by the fact that the second son is obviously not a Windsor, but for years sat 3rd in line to the throne. Lord knows everyone in the monarchy has to know it, but are willing to live with it. That would have been some shit, if he landed as King but was not in the actual bloodline. Talk about some GoT shit, in real life. The new son of William and Kate gives them a little more breathing room. I'm sure there is hope another one is born too, for insurance.

I don't know if Prince Charles is a weak bastard or one of the strongest individuals in public life.

Yeah, and for a long time people would fight wars over it. Now, who fucking cares? What difference would it make? And, don't get me started about Americans who care about this shit. What the fuck is wrong with these people?

What else could they do? Charlotte is hardly New York. Sweep it as fast as you can.

Even Americans like princes and princesses. We're idiots for it, but that's the reality.

Americans only care about British princes and princesses.
Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.

The queen had no love of Diana and many believe that she was the one who ordered the test and would have rejoiced to have her disgraced.

It doesn't matter.

He looks almost exactly like his (alleged) father. If she had him tested, I can't imagine a family (esp a Queen) structured on decorum and propriety would embarass itself by publicizing it. It can be argued that the Windsor's stood to lose more face than Diana did.
