When this bullshit is over, some serious guidelines need to be set. It doesn't make sense that we have to do the heavy lifting every time something like this Assad situation occurs. I get it that the UN is stymied because of Putin's veto, but what about NATO? Why can't France take a turn...then Germany, then the UK, and then back to us? If the EU wants to remain an economic superpower, then they ought to have to take a role in securing the world's hotspots too.

For the Europeans to "take turns" with us attacking evil dictators, they would have to want to, which they almost never do. When ever they do, it's begrudgingly and under US pressure. The urge to attack evil dictators that are no threat to us is an American trait.
