Damn, I'd like to get me some of that...

Estimates range from 150k to 245k total. Split the difference and call it 200,000 or around one fifth to one sixth of the people that died at Stalingrad or about the same that died at the Battle of Berlin. In other words a drop in the bucket in the over all scheme of things.
U*NC is the cleanest most honest athletic program on the planet. I am jealous of their deserved success, and I'm a mewling cunt.

Why can't they drop one now in Afgan or Iraq or Yemen? I'd sleep well tonight either way.

"Rickart is my favorite UVA poster."
With regard to being a UVa poster, rickert is all things to all people, b/c he's the only UVa poster I've ever come across. Thank god...

Re: La Salle Explorers
got back from canoeing the whitewater river in Brookville, In. Whitewater is a bit misleading, but people aren't going to canoe down the "polluted trashy ass creek" so the name stands.
7 adults and 22 scouts.
It was nice canoeing with the boy and we got along because we were in separate canoes. I think the other adults were not happy with us because we kept yelling "RAMMING SPEED" and then tried to knock each others canoes over.
It was a fun day until 3 of the 11 year olds I was in charge us decided the racoons outside their tent were actually grizzly bears and they came crying to me demanding that I take them home about 1am last night. I ended up telling them I'd put bread outside my tent to attract the racoons away from theirs. That seem to satisfy them.
Then I did nothing and went back to bed.

I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Re: La Salle Explorers
I really do like working the boys - every campout I see growth, whether its being able to start a fire , setup a campsite or cook a meal
but those 1am homesick crying sessions are a pain in the ass. Last April, it got down to about 35 degrees and one boy who was 10 years old at the time was cold so around 2 or 3am he gets up crying, walks thru camp crying (screaming actually) and goes over and sits at the picnic table. We have a muslim scout troop in our district and they were next to us so in my half asleep state, I thought it was one of them doing that lalalalalalalala thing they do which both pissed me off and made me half chuckle at the idea that their scout master had some kid screaming lalalalalalalala muslim shit in the middle of the night and had to deal with it.. It never occurred to me that it was one of our kids. So the kid is there crying (think Indian whoop yell) and then eventually gets up , walks thru the middle of our camp still screaming and goes back to his tent.
I don't know if he was sleep walking or what to be honest, but when we go camping inevitably one those kids is going to start crying after I'm asleep in my tent and even though they are my responsibility, I just lay there praying they don't come to my tent.
The next day one of the kids was like "AJ had a rough night and I was like "what did he pee in his sleeping bag or something" (yes that has happened) and the kid was like no, he got up crying and left the tent.
So say what you will about Muslims, their kids don't freaking scream in the middle of the night.

Re: La Salle Explorers
I spent 4 years as a scout and 21 years in the army--the kids ask me to go camping with them all the time--I just shake my head and laugh. I do not miss the bugs, the cold, the heat, the skin rashes, the 3 days in a row without showers, the lack of sleep due to whatever, the loss of contact with the world, the crotch rot, the wet clothes, the looking for a place to shit, the bonor beating into a sock, and having to listen to everyone around you for however many days your sentenced to isolation.
I swear I dont know how the pioneers did it
