The VW ad ran full page in Rolling Stone and a bunch of other papers and magazines. It crushed me the first time I saw it.

Nice tribute. Me and Stu were both living in the Haight 18 years ago today. Stu on Haight St. itself, about 2 blocks from Ashbury. Crazy few days. Nice tribute in GG Park, but underlying everything, all the good and sad vibes, was the bedrock understanding that our world would never be the same. And it hasn't been...

I saw Charlie Pride close out a show singing Nazareth's Hair of the Dog - or maybe he was just yelling at a fan in the front row that threw a beer bottle at him. (no, I have never attended a Charlie Pride concert)
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.
