It was a kinda "Kill Bill" sort of funeral. I think you buried Talent.

Talent's still trying to punch his way out like Uma Thurman did.

AA - time for some updated travel advice re: New Orleans - did you ever take your son there when he was underage?

Me and 2 more dads are taking our 3 high school seniors to the Saints/Falcons game - I have never been to NO as a minor - but it would seem to be a kinda tough town to find stuff to do in.

Their history professor is giving them extra credit for a report on the WW11 museum and we may do a Katrina tour or something.

Any other ideas?

When I was still at FSU in the 80s, we went to Nawlins for a game vs Tulane. On Bourbon Street, we walked by some kids with our FSU gear on. These kids were 15 or 16 MAX, and they each had a beer in hand. They stopped us to talk for a while and pointed out that one of the kids was the designated beer buyer because he looked the oldest (he was taller than the others, probably 5'10", but still had a mouth full of braces).

Then they started asking us if it's true that girls from Florida had tanned pussies. We started laughing out loud and walked away - those were good times.

Oh, and one of the guys with us was underage. One of the guys wanted to get a Hard Rock t-shirt (80s, remember?) but there was a line about 50 people deep, so I went with the underage guy to the bar. He ordered a Long Island Iced Tea and was pleasantly surprised when they didn't card him. However the bartender brought him a regular iced tea. He insisted that the guy had ordered an iced tea and not a Long Island; after 30 seconds of arguing the manager came over and demanded we pay the $3 for the iced tea or he was calling the cops. We told him to fuck off and walked out - last time I ever went to a Hard Rock Cafe.

We did hit some voodoo shops as a non-drinking outing, that was decently fun. Last time I went to Nawlins we did a horse and carriage tour which was interesting, just seeing the city and getting a guided tour was worth it.

Nostron - plenty of museums, mansions, etc.
In fact, if you have time seeing the old plantations across tge ricer (Oak Alley, for example) is nice.

Close to the FQ, along with the museums, you can do a lumchtime ride on the Natchez or Delta Queen (mostly families). Throw in a cemetery tour, and a Blaine's mardi gras world.

On Bourbon, Steamboat Willie (1920's-1950's jazz). He's at the Andrew Jackson beignet place next to Remoulade's

Yes, but I'm talking the place on Bourbon - not Decatur - the place with live music across from the Sonesta.

Speaking of tattoos, I wonder if Reuben Foster still has his Auburn tattoo.
