The Federal Supreme Court threw out part of DOMA. That's how the system works. I'm not aware of states attempting to nullify the law. If they did, they were wrong. But as far as I know, it only applied to Federal benefits anyways.

Uhhhh, they can. But they are a sure lock to lose. The law is clearly unconstitutional. A state can't pass a law that makes it a crime to follow a federal law.

Missouri's law puts the Missouri State legislature ABOVE the US Supreme Court as the final arbiter as to what is/is not constitutional.

The only problem is, Hillary was a sure-thing 100% lock for the nomination six years ago, and then she wasn't. Maybe she will be the nominee, but I wouldn't fit her for a crown just yet.
