It's like year after year after year of perfect landings every 5 minutes. "Look, here comes another one. He nailed it! Again! Wow!" Seem like it would get boring after a while (a very short while), but what do I know? Look how this guy's patience paid off. "You're filming it! You filmed the whole thing!!"

If the planes are landing over airport highway? in Toronto, there's always a group of people filming the landings. but the planes are really low.

That seems a little more exciting than standing a mile away and doing it...

I think its St. Thomas or maybe Antigua where the plane lands next to the beach and people standing next to the fence have to hang on from the Jet blast

We're going to Grand Cayman in a couple of weeks, my first time. I'm about done with the Caribbean, I'm just happy to go to Cozumel or someplace else along the Mayan Riviera. Unless someone wants to make a case for their favorite Caribbean island, that is...

I do love Sint Maarten, but Mexico is just as good. I just like the weather better on that island and the food...and the gambling...and the closeness to Saint Barths...and the shopping...and the flight time. Actually, by simply typing these out, I think I do prefer Sint Maarten to Cozumel. I'm not a fan of Saint Thomas, though, fwiw.

Cozumel is still cool, though.

I think Cozumel is a better value than Grand Cayman. Cayman is cleaner, more modern and overall the population is well educated. That comes at a price to the visitor however.

I think the snorkeling/snuba/scuba is better in the Caymans but I've only been limited to bulk tourist tours of snorkeling at each place. Cheeseburger reef is just off the beach and has a wide variety of fish. Cozumel was like a desert underwater in some of the places I went.

The girls have been to Cayman, they said the diving was very good, so I am looking forward to that...

That was Key West. The girls did say that they had some hot young guys that took them diving, though...

my last trip to Cozumel resulted in us snorkeling in a relatively flat area and people flocking to look at a lobster. It was like 2 football fields away, I ain't fucking swimming that far to look at a lobster. I'll just settle for watching this parrot fish swim.

That's how bad it was though - people sharing the view of watching a single fish swim around.

Of course that's anecdotal, obviously there is very good snorkeling in Cozumel, but in the Cayman's, its not really luck of the draw.

oh and we did see a stingray

When I did the ironman swim in Cozumel, there were a shitload of cool fish swimming around below us. Given that there were 2500 people thrashing around on the surface, I was surprised to see anything.

There are alot of outfits that cater to the cruise ship crowd, they'll load up a boat or a catamaran with 40 or 50 people and dump them all in the same spot to snorkel. Get about 3 or 4 outfits unloading at the same time and it's a nightmare. But there are plenty of waterside bars all up and down the west side that you can sit there and drink a beer and go right in and there's nobody there except a few other patrons and half of them are just sitting there drinking. Some spots are better than others, but anywhere is hit or miss depending on the conditions. For me, after a day of scuba diving, I'm not all gung ho to go snorkeling, but the MIF loves it, so I go to placate her. We have definitely seen some cool stuff snorkeling, though...

One of the tricks of diving is that you have to equalize your sinus pressure as you go down. Simply pinch your nose and blow out to pop your ears about every 10 feet. You can do that snorkeling, too, it's pretty easy to dive down about 30 feet (if you don't smoke), just make sure to pop your ears 3 or 4 times as you descend....

Cayman is good for scuba diving, but i am not a scuba diver. Me and the Mrs. took one of those bubble subs that are guided by a scuba guy. Remember to get the MIF and lasses to pose for a picture with Big Black Dick.

Bermuda, to me, is the best of the Caribbean (probably not technically Caribbean), but St. Maarten is good for the money. Bermuda and Cayman are pretty pricey.

They've got one at some bar in Cozumel. Got several pics...
