Re: Florida State Seminoles
becoming a Deist answers all these questions
god exists - in some form. By existing he answers the questions that man cannot - where does the universe end? when did time begin?
god doesn't care - in realizing that you understand hurricanes, Tsunamis, Hitler, Stalin, social inequality, plagues, etc
we're a speck in space, we are a by product of creation and owe nothing while nothing is owed to us.
The bible was written by man. Not God.

I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

don't know, don't care - being a Deist says you don't know all the answers but you can believe that something bigger than you started the ball rolling. You just don't believe anything that man was involved with afterwards.

That's having no faith in religion. I get that. Out of all the God theories & theorists, I will say, Jesus had worked it out the best. His story reads he practiced a religion, but followed a smaller set of the "rules."eCat wrote:Cletus wrote:Who created god?

Good morning! What a fantastic day. You’re an impressive group of soldiers. I’m grateful to General Lee for inviting me to talk to you when I know you have plenty on your plate. My name is Phil Blake. I’m what most people—the polite ones anyway—call a motivational speaker, but I consider myself more of a liberator who breaks the shackles you’ve put on yourselves without even realizing it.
Right now, I see a lot of scared faces, a lot of doubt, a lot of nay-saying and nay-thinking. You’re ragged after two days of tough fighting. Now you’re about to march a mile over open ground straight at a line of Union soldiers licking their chops, rifles loaded, cannons at the ready, itching to unleash a torrent of shot, shells, and shrapnel at your flesh. Plus it’s already pretty hot and I bet it gets worse.
It sounds bad. I’m here to show you it’s the opportunity of a lifetime.

most historians agree jesus lived and was crucified
most historians agree many were killed that were direct followers of jesus
the concept that god created the beginning of time and the origins of the universe is just as believable as something being created from nothing. that god had to be created--or didnt have to be created------who knows
answerwill probalby never be undestood
real question is there life after death
has there ever been an example in this infinite universe of life being created or recreated from something that was dead. is there another dimension where beings exist.

What if the word "God" was instead "Norm" from the beginning?

Thousands of religious/political agitators have been executed over the millenia that makes Jesus a martyr but not unique and certainly not the son of god. You would think that if God created man and actually spoke to them in the garden of eden then the worlds first religion would get God right, yet there are "false" religions that predate worship of yahweh by over a thousand years. worship whatever or whomever makes you feel good, but don't pretend that you have some special knowledge or insight and that your way is the right way much less the only way.

U*NC is the cleanest most honest athletic program on the planet. I am jealous of their deserved success, and I'm a mewling cunt.

Serious question, what two miracles did Pope JPII perform that gets him canonized?

one is that someone's family prayed to him that had a serious illness (cerebral aneurysm) and is healed this year and he allegedly healed a nun of Parkinson's in 2011.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
My final for my summer Con Law II class is a week from Wednesday. I have to write a first Amendment question. Considering using the following:
Jailed Facebook teen finally getting day in court
http://www.cnn.com/2013/07/03/tech/soci ... hpt=hp_bn5
According to court documents, Justin wrote, "I'm f***ed in the head alright. I think I'ma (sic) shoot up a kindergarten and watch the blood of the innocent rain down and eat the beating heart of one of them."
Jack Carter said his son followed the claim with "LOL" and "J/K" -- indicating that the comment wasn't serious.

that's the real question when you are asking about threats of terrorism, which are different than verbal threats against an individual
