This is what I don't get. FISA Courts have been in existence since 1979. The Patriot Act has been in place for 10 years. He didn't expose we were being "spied" on to me. Anyone who read a paper knew it was going on. I never gave a shit when he exposed the data mining done with these providers. It was an old story to me that finally got some attention after 10 years of lost privacy. Welcome to the party, rest of America. I officially started caring when he starts giving up secrets regarding location and structure of inteligence facilities to foreign governments, and when he threatens to give more classified documents to foreigners. I have no idea why that does not enrage people. What is the difference between him and Aldridge Ames (if I'm thinking of the right dude)?
Also, when did the NYT give up state secrets to foreign entities?
