I could see this happening here

For now Americans are more than willing to spend money on giant stadiums and while most professional ticket prices are out of reach for an average family, they don't deal with the impact of it in their daily lives.

However, when you see tax increases and things like public transportation costs go up to support a sporting event in a bad economy, its going to push people over the edge
