"I'm glad you have someone to watch now besides Dunleavy"
Once again, Prince's and Dunleavy's yearly stats were virtually identical this season, as are their career stats and career earnings, although Prince is at the beginning of a sweet 3 year deal while Dun Jr. is one the last year of his current deal and I suspect he'll be playing for much less than Prince will be getting over the next couple of years if anybody chooses to pick him up. I would have to say that it seems like Prince has had the better career, mainly b/c he played for some good teams (and was one of the reasons they were good) while Dunleavy has almost always played for dogs (and maybe he was part of the reason for that). But just looking at the numbers (including the most important one, salary), they have basically had the exact same career...

I would say his friend just farted..see how everyone else is stone faced trying to act like it didn't happen? Why is it only friends accuse friends of farting but not complete strangers?

Theo Pinson Decison
It appears from a Tweet from Dave Telep that 5-star wing Theo Pinson is planning to announce his college decision next Wednesday--well ahead of his earlier timetable. An announcement for IU would be huge for the 2014 recruiting class--this is a kid we want, and a kid that can make other great prospects want to play with him.
Considering that he has been a priority for Coach Crean and Coach Johnson, and that Indiana is the only official visit he has taken, we have reason to be optimistic. He has a list of five--IU, UNC, Duke, Georgetown, and Louisville--but Louisville is probably the only serious contender. To pluck this plum from that group would speak volumes. It would also help explain the borderline giddy nature of some Tweets from Coach Johnson about our recruiting of late.
Theo Pinson, your table is ready!

Some of the pundits are now giving North Carolina a fighting chance here, due to the home state angle, but that could just be CYA stuff.
Recruiting is a crazy business, we all know, so nothing is certain until the announcement--or, as in the case of Terrence Jones, not even then.
We'll know soon enough. There is one particular Tweet about good news for IU that has my confidence up.
Best of luck to Theo Pinson, whatever the decision.

Pinson to North Carolina.
Can't say we didn't give it our best shot. Can't begrudge a kid an opportunity to play for his state school, and stay close to his family. Can't say there aren't other excellent recruits out there and we don't have plenty of time to focus on them.
Can't say it doesn't hurt.
Next.

I guess Roy's check cleared.
U*NC is the cleanest most honest athletic program on the planet. I am jealous of their deserved success, and I'm a mewling cunt.

I still have no clue why they pulled hibbert twice yesterday and just let king james stroll to the basket for unobstructed layups.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
"On average, Roy Williams’ five-star recruits are drafted just outside the lottery, likely between picks 20-25."
How the hell did he get "likely b/w picks 20-25" from that graph?? Only one of those guys was drafted below #20...

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
Good question, Hedge. Calculating the eight players who have been drafted, the average is 103/8 = 12.875...Which is IN THE LOTTERY. Now if he's projecting Reggie Bullock not getting drafted in the 1st round, that's a possibility. But he certainly didn't make that clear.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
I'd give Roy credit for Felton, McCants and Shun May, too. Even though McCants and May were NBA busts, they got drafted high. Roy didn't recruit them to Carolina, but if they came to Carolina under Doh, they certainly would've come if Roy had been the coach. Also, I see they guy goes back and includes Cal's Memphis players who got drafter high, why not give Roy credit for his Kansas guys who did, too? Chicanery, that's why!

Yeah, yet another example of the media unfairly targeting U*NC

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
I was listening to a replay of a Dan Patrick interview with Phil Jackson this morning and they were talking about Jordan. It made me ask the question to myself, What if in 84 Jordan wasn't the #1 overall pick and was instead drafted by Portland at #2? How many rings would he have? Would he still be Air Jordan?

Jordan would've been Sweet River Baines and tagteamed with Clyde Drexler for the best hairdo hoops duo of all-time...Jungle Rat wrote:I was listening to a replay of a Dan Patrick interview with Phil Jackson this morning and they were talking about Jordan. Re: Ostensibly Hoops
good day yesterday - went downtown and crashed Taste of Cincinnati and saw Here Come the Mummies in Taft Theater which was right in the heart of it. Had a blast but I'm deaf this morning.
Walked in the Memorial day parade and attended the services at Milford Cemetary this morning. Now the rest of the day is mine.
