Well, add this to the "we be @#$%" list...

I'm sitting here reading an article on ESPN about Daniel Gray leaving Tennessee to play at Utah State. The official reason is to play with two former teammates. Unofficially, there were/are rumours of him having personal problem/issues. On the surface, it doesn't seem like a big deal to lose his kid. He would've been starting his sophomore season this year. He had little playing time and didn't hardly factor in during the spring. Losing this guy in and of itself isn't a big deal. However...

Eric Gordon's future with the Vols seems to be up in the air. He's a 5th year SR defensive back. A good player but didn't play every down, a nickel type player. Losing him isn't the end of the world either although we do seem to be really thin in the DB position. A good player with experience will be missed there as we find someone to fill the void.

Taking into account the previous story I linked to about hints of an investigation/scandal that will probably add one more year to our probation with the NCAA at least, you have to wonder: what the @#$% is going on up there? You have to think a new coach and new schemes will rub some people the wrong way for whatever reason and they will be run off or run themselves off. But still, this is getting old fast!

Jesus freak, what is in that story about Jenny Wright that could possibly make you think we're getting a year of probation? Consenting adults...hello? If Ms. Wright can't keep her hands off Trey Golden's cock, it's no business of the NCAA.

You need to buck up and jump on the ButchWagon.

No worries about me being on the ButchWagon. I'm there 200% already. I'm not a bandwagon fan like Rat. I just get worried about the extra noise have going on in the background.

I guess as bad as things are, things could be worse though. Check out this piece about a player from a certain school in 'bama who is entering the draft this season:

Hmmmm.... I see it appears the Patriots are going to sign Tebow tomorrow. Looks like he will get looks at both tightend and QB.

I'm not his # 1 fan by any wild stretch of the imagination. However, I do feel he got a bit of a raw deal. It's nice to see him get another chance. Hopefully it will work out in one form or another. Good or bad are the only outcomes that can come of this but at least he will get a chance.

I like Denver and John Elway, but they did him wrong. The Jets didn't exactly help out either.

Make him the deep blocker on punts to make teams worry about a fake. Tebow could be used in a variety of ways the same way the Dolphins used former BU QB Jim 'Crash' Jensen back in the 80s. I don't fault Denver/Elway or even the Jets. The NFL is all about conformity and copycatting, which is a prime reason it is such a stale product compared to college football.

I don't see this frankly. If they had traded him and brought in Byron Leftwich - then yes, he got screwed. But they replaced him with an all-time great - would you, or anyone not wearing jorts, rather have Tebow or Peyton? They let him go somewhere that (a) had a chance of winning, and (b) it was perceived he had a chance to start.

The Jets - hard to say. They were good enough not to warrant a drastic change and it didn't work out for them. I'm no Sanchez fan, but they didn't foresee being as bad as they were. So if Tebow had been the day 1 QB and they finished exactly where they did, then the GM/coach are idiots. If they had gotten to the playoffs but not much further, well they could have done that with Sanchez (perception). You could argue that they shouldn't have brought him in to begin with if they weren't planning on playing him, but if he'd come in and impressed the hell out of everyone he would have been playing.

I wish nothing but the best for Tebow, I hope he does well because he is a genuinely good person. But I just don't see him excelling in New England at a position he's never played. Their system is perfect for his skill set though.

Well, a spot has opened at tight end. I think TT could handle it.

Bill's mother was a substitute teacher at Farragut High School. We would mention Bill and she would spend the rest of the class talking about him - much better than the normal boring classtime. This was during his rookie season with the Cowboys.
