bite your tongue!........besides...rat can't stalk me...i live a zillion miles to the north, in the bush, in an igloo, and the sled dawgs would tear him to bits...IF he gets past the polar bears!

Really? That sounds cool. I'd love living in an igloo, but the cold would kill me.

Can you give a province or some big general area, like Alaska or the Yukon? I live in Missouri so Wisconsin is the Great White North to me. LOL

Are you a native or an anthropologist? Or are you just into cold?

Sure, around here, I give points for anything north of the Pecos, or even south.

I should have known you were kidding about the igloo. :D

So now I'm thinking Saskatoon of Moose Jaw, which are probably still hundreds of miles from you, but it's closer than the Yukon.

I can't believe Delta is doing that. Those boys risked their lives to protect this nation and the least Delta can do is give them enough space to bring home their booty. How much loot does Delta think you can squeeze into 3 crummy bags? Bet our troops have to look hard to find anything worth stealing in the first place. It's not like Afghanistan is loaded with valuable portables like Germany or France, and now they have to pay extra just to get it home?

That sucks.

Wouldn't that be special.

Seriously, I doubt these guys actually loot much. It's a court marshal offense, and the Afghans are so poor, what do they have that a GI would want to steal?

What struck me as odd was those guys each needed 4 bags? That seems like a lot of bags for a bunch of dog face GIs. I mean army guys don't make a lot of costume changes, right? Perhaps I'm missing something. My dad was in the Air Force, but I don't know much about army stuff. Maybe 4 bags isn't a lot for them?

I've been checking the Music thread every day hoping you'd post some new videos. What happened? Run out of stuff you like? Holding out on us? ;)

That would be two duffle bags, one rucksack, one weapon case. The required gear (e.g. helmet, sleeping bag, entrenching tool, chemical protective suit, gas mask, pup tent, etc. takes up a duffle bag all by itself. The other includes three uniforms, socks, t-shirts, underwear, shaving kit, poncho, an extra pair of boots, field jacket, long johns, a few manuals, etc. It's not that much considering you have to live on what you pack in that for a whole year.

That's what I deployed with, minus the weapon case.
