yea I'm not in the habit of spending $15 for ice cream for 4 people

not that I think this is anywhere near the same level as hard drugs, but I'm getting a taste of what its like to be an addict.

I have some non-allergy allergy like symptoms that have gotten progressively worse as I get older. Basically whenever the weather changes - rain, snow, cold, hot - my sinuses close shut where I can't breath.

I've been dicking around fighting it for years with OTC allergy medicines, anti-histamines, etc. but nothing ever really worked and I've always been hesitant to put my liver/kidneys thru taking pills on a regular basis.

Last year I tried Afrin and this stuff was a gift from heaven. Its been years since I've been able to actually breath thru both nostrils , it stopped me snoring and I didn't sound like Darth Vader when I talked to people on the phone.

For the past week I've had a sinus infection but I didn't really know it because I was tackling it with Afrin but the problem is instead of taking Afrin maybe 2 or 3 times a week, I'm now taking it every 6 hours because I assume the severity of my sinus problem and I've built up a tolerance to it. Last night I said fuck it, I bombed my nose with afrin, took 2 mucinex-D and I had some left over amoxicyllan (sp?) from a kids ear infection. And I know that if I take Afrin before my sinuses clog up again then I can keep breathing without having to fight thru it so that encourages me to take it more than the recommended dosage.

Best sleep I've had in weeks.

My point is that until this sinus infection goes away , I'm taking Afrin way beyond its intended use, and I really don't care at this point because it makes me feel normal.

and I full expect the afrin junkie jokes that will come but as a hard core addict, I've stop caring. I'm about two weeks away from sucking dick in an alley for Nasal Spray.
I know I should go to the doctor and get it straightened out but I keep thinking as soon as the weather breaks I'll get back to how I was.

yep I pretty much knew that , although I had the problem before the Afrin use.

its probably time to go to the doctor though.
