For reasons unfathomable to me, you refused to let me live in your back yard in a tent. But now I can just bring my car and park it there and live, and you can't stop me. According to BOJ, anyway...

According to BOJ, your personal property has dominion wherever it is. Doesn't have to be a car, it could be a tricycle, little red wagon, RV, boat, helicopter, or snowmobile. I suppose you could even mail yourself in a box or a crate to his prop'ity and he couldn't touch you.

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
So then I gather that you guys are saying the CONTENTS of the car are not private and the police can search anybodys car with out warrent or cause because after all there are no private property rights on the inside of the car.
The land owner can tell you to get the car off the property, just not what you can or can not have in that car. Pretty simple. He owns the property, you own the car. He decides if you can have your car on the property or not but not what you can have inside said car because he doesn't own the car. Nothing says he has to let you park any car there either. He could not allow any parking on his property and that would solve the issue as well.
And nobody said the bill didn't allow employers to fire the employees, if they find out then yes they can fire them, but they can't keep them from keeping their gun inside their car, nor their prescription, nor their Obama dolls etc.
The only way you can be against allowing the guns in the vehicle would be if you were for the car not being considered private property and that would mean it would be open to search by ANYONE, ANYONE could go inside of the car and ANYONE could take the car because it's not private property.
Again it has long been held that the vehicle is private property and that's why cops can't search it without a warrent or cause and why unless you sign permission your boss can't just go out and search your car at any time he/she wants. This bill just makes it clear that it applies equally to mary jane and guns.

And here it is, straight from the State of Tennessee. To answer your question it appears that you can leave a car on private property 48 hours WITHOUT permission before the landowner can do anything about it. Why? Because the car is the PRIVATE PROPERTY of another individual.
LMBO
"What is an Abandoned/Immobile or Unattended Vehicle?
Abandoned, means (Tenn. Code Ann. Section 55-16-103(1)), a motor vehicle that:
A.Is over four years old and is left unattended on public property for more than ten days;
B.Is in obvious state of disrepair and is left unattended on public property for more than three days;
C.Has remained illegally on public property for a period of more than 48 hours;
D.Has remained on private property without consent of the owner or person in control of the property for more than 48 hours; or
E. Has been stored, parked or left in a garage, trailer park, or any type of storage or parking lot for more than 30 consecutive days."
Otherwise it's not abandoned and you can't do anything to it because it is the private property of another individual.
http://www.tn.gov/revenue/vehicle/titli ... oned.shtml
Just google "is your car private property". It is a resounding, even the Supreme Court recognizes it as private property and made the exception to warrents for probable cause because it was mobile private property and evidence could be removed/destroyed.
So yes I am correct, the car is private property, sitting on the landowners private property. This bill protects the private property rights of both people.

Interesting...Robert Bork's memoir asserts that Richard Nixon promised him a Supreme Court seat if he would fire the Special Prosecutor who was investigating Watergate. #1 and #2 at the DOJ had already resigned/been fired for refusing to do so.

Ironically enough, firing Archibald Cox is the primary reason that Bork is not on the Supreme Court.Dr. Strangelove wrote:Interesting...Robert Bork's memoir asserts that Richard Nixon promised him a Supreme Court seat if he would fire the Special Prosecutor who was investigating Watergate. #1 and #2 at the DOJ had already resigned/been fired for refusing to do so.

George Will nails it.....7.9%+ unemployment is new normal....cutting federal spending a little over 2%, disaster!!
Obama, who believes government spends money more constructively than do those who earn it, warns that the sequester’s budgetary nicks, amounting to one-half of 1 percent of gross domestic product, will derail the economy. A similar jeremiad was heard in 1943 when economist Paul Samuelson, whose Keynesian assumptions have trickled down to Obama, said postwar cuts in government would mean “the greatest period of unemployment and industrial dislocation which any economy has ever faced.”
Federal spending did indeed shrink an enormous 40 percent in one year. And the economy boomed.
Because crises are government’s excuse for growing, liberalism’s motto is: Never let a crisis go unfabricated. But its promiscuous production of crises has made them boring.

Is this the same George Will http://boston.com/community/blogs/gatek ... rd_ra.html who predicted on November 4, 2012, that Mitt Romney would win 321 Electoral votes?Toemeesleather wrote:George Will nails it.....7.9%+ unemployment is new normal....cutting federal spending a little over 2%, disaster!!

Sobering stuff...
China Has Its Own Debt Bomb
Not unlike the U.S. in 2008, China is at the end of a credit binge that won't end well.
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142 ... on_LEADTop
Our moment of truth will come when China quits buying our t-bills, and our government is no longer able to borrow nearly half of what it spends. We will be like Greece, but with no European Central Bank to bail us out.

Congrats BOJ - you have settled the non-issue of what constitutes an abandoned vehicle and when a property owner can take possesion of said vehicle. Which - naturally - nothing to do with guns in trunks.

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
Watching people, especially politicians dance on the head of a pin is funny enough, but the Obozo enablers in the MSM are just plain sad.
ABC is defending its decision to edit out an apparently erroneous claim by Michelle Obama in its broadcast of the first lady’s interview on Good Morning America today, saying it made the changes “solely” for the sake of time.
The edited line is the third sentence below...
“She was standing out in a park with her friends in a neighborhood blocks away from where my kids…grew up, where our house is. She had just taken a chemistry test. And she was caught in the line of fire because some kids had some automatic weapons they didn’t need,” she said. “I just don’t want to keep disappointing our kids in this country. I want them to know that we put them first.”

Time to fire up another all-white-guy GOP committee. Turns out wifes of dem presidents get preferrential treatment in the 9-1 Media**.
** apparently some poll somewhere found that 9 press members somewhere gave money to the dem party for every 1 that gave to the GOP - a clear indication that dems do the thankless jobs that no one else wants (see also: social work and fruit picking)
