Yeah, but most of Fox News's viewer are going to be dead soon...

Actually, none of them do well in the 25-54 yr. old demographic. Probably most people with internet access don't watch the news shows. I know I don't. Conservatives will go to Drudgereport and liberals to Slate.

As a percentage of their viewership, MSNBC is getting about twice as much of that demographic as Fox is. Might not seem important now, but as the core Fox viewing audience dies off (as they do in droves every day), Fox is going to get weaker and weaker. They are basically the Joe McCarthy/Jesse Helms/Strom Thrumond network. Yeah, all those guys had their day, but they're basically viewed as national embarrassments now. Much like Fox News will be in a few years...

The real question is do you disagree with any of this:
[*]Poverty's increasing.
[*]Gas prices have almost doubled.
[*]The price of health care premiums has exploded and will only explode more (but-but-but Obama said…!)
[*]Poor and middle class incomes are falling.
[*]One-in-five Americans are on food stamps.
[*]The non-partisan GAO says Obama's exploding deficit is unsustainable.
[*] Eight million people are looking for work.
[*]Our labor force has shrunk to thirty-year levels (170k more dropped out last month).
[*]Chronic unemployment hasn't been this bad since World War II.
[*]The long-term unemployment rate is over 14%, and if the labor force was merely the same size today as it was the day Obama took office, today's unemployment rate would be closer to 11%.

Hannity losing half his audience is pretty telling. His constant obama-harangue doesn't play anymore - it only serves to remind partisans that their guy lost and that they're stuck with you-know-who for the next four long years. Better to take in a ballgame, or rasslin', or square-dancin', or go greet the fresh new NASCAR star at the Food City.

Gas prices hit their highest mark under dubya.
Health care premiums have exploded since the 80's. The greatest surge was under dubya.
Middle class incomes nosedived under dubya.
One in five Americans are on food stamps thanks to the Great Recession that started under you-know-who.
The big deficit spending held off a depression. It wasn't meant to be sustainable.
Labor force - see Great Recession
Chronic unemployment - see Great Recession
Long term unemployment rate - see Great Recession

From The Guardian (puter loves the UK press):
FTSE 100's Rally Continues After Positive US Economic News
After the market celebrated its best January performance for nearly a quarter of a century, investors could have been forgiven for expecting a hangover as February began.
But there was little sign of that, as the FTSE100 breached the 6300 level for the first time in five years. And during January it rose 379 points or 6.43%, its best start to the year since 1989.
Poor US and UK GDP numbers earlier in the week briefly threatened to spoil the party, but investors regained their optimism yesterday as reasonable US jobs, confidence and manufacturing figures eased concerns about a downturn. That enthusiasm saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average break through 14,000 in trading for the first time since October 2007

I think it's fair in some circumstances to criticize oprama for not mitagating more of the damage wrought by eight years of dubya.
Nevertheless, the nation has spoken and they prefer the President's method of getting our economic house in order. And that's really the bottom line.

Seems like a lot of economic indicators are starting to get back to their pre-recession levels.

Our national nightmare is over. Well, for some of us, anyway. For others (I won't mention any names, cough cough), life is a nightmare no matter what. I won't let them spoil my party, though...

Keynesian theory tells us that when economies are going good, then that's the time we should rein in government spending. Since things are going great, I'm sure our President will apply some austerity measures to the budget...

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
Like the old man with the plague in "Holy Grail," conservatism isn't dead yet.
Remember that a lot of those college kids who were skinny dipping and dropping acid at Woodstock grew up and became corporate raiders and hedge fund managers. Young people can enjoy a little utopianism, but when they grow up, they have to live in the real world. And liberal economics have a rough time in the real world, mainly because the liberal approach to economics - massive taxation, spending, and regulation - try and eventually fail in their attempt to defy simple math. Today's young voters will eventually get tired living in their parents' basements and working two part-time minimum wage jobs thanks to liberal economics.

God rest his soul.
Feminism: Eve eats ALL the apples, gives God the middle finder when He confronts her, and has the serpent serve Adam with an injunction ordering him to both stay away from her AND to provide her food and shelter because he dragged her out of the Garden.

He was riding with Jon Bon Jovi correct?
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

CBO...says...what I told you tools would happen years ago. Oprama: "If you like your insurance, you can keep it." Said it was bullshit then and it was...Said the estimated cost was BS and it was...
The whole thing is designed to move people from employer to govt run healthcare. That is the endgame just as Oprama said on video years and years ago.
Seven million will lose insurance under Obama health law
