Re: Baseball
Why is this whore so obsessed with the Reds? I'm thinking that she's finally coming to the realization that the team that she loves has an owner with his home office in downtown Cincinnati. Always has. Even he won't live in that shithole. A crazy bitch who realizes that as she enters her 70's and becomes even more reclusive because another ex Cards partner who just so happens to now own the Reds has built himself quite a ballclub. Yeah, he raided the Cards. That's business bitches. Just remember where all your success came from. An office, in downtown Cincinnati. The home of professional baseball. Stan the Man can suck my dick.

Re: Baseball
Something tells me the Reds are losing again tonight.

Re: Baseball
Some dude named Jay is wearing Edmunds historic #15 jersey. Although I hear he is a legend in St. Louis.

I think I took a pic of that kid in spring training. Let me look.
Re: Baseball
Fingers are creeping towards the panic button.
Re: Baseball
Look at the bright side; even though the Reds lost again, Bruce got another hit.

Re: Baseball
This from the same chick who vanished after the Reds swept the Cards only to reappear once the Cards got a half game lead. The more things change.....
Re: Baseball
You're so right rat, when the Cardinals lost those 3 games I was so upset, I had to get away for some R&R. Lucky for me, the end of the school year coincided with that series.

Re: Baseball
Still waiting for you to explain your obsession with the Reds. Why not the same hate for the Brewers? Are you a lover scorned? Raped?
Re: Baseball
Think about what you're saying.
It's laughable. It's like OJ Simpson during his civil trial complaining that his dead wife attacked him.

Huh?
Re: Baseball
I wish we had some Brewer fans here. Looks like they're in it for the long haul.

glioblastoma: A word you never want to hear your doctor say.
The word "aggressive" when directly attached before "treatment plan" is another word the fortunate will never hear in reference to themselves or their loved ones.
I never really liked Gary Carter. His public persona always grated on me. I suspect, he was the kind of player you like if he's on your favorite team, but not so much otherwise. I remember specifically rooting for Gary to strike out, even if he wasn't playing against the Cardinals, even if the results of his at bats meant nothing to my favorites. That's how much I didn't like Carter. He was sort'a the A Rod of my youth. Yes, I root for A Rod to fail; I check the box scores every night hoping that A Rod went 0 for 4. I felt the same way about Gary Carter; I happily wallowed in his failures, I reveled in his defeats.
But I'm rooting for Gary now. Not because of guilt -- my loathing had nothing to do with Carter's illness; not because I 'm hoping to score points with some deity; but simply because Gary is a fellow human being facing a terrible struggle against an implacable, merciless foe, and my good will is all I can offer him and his family.
Good luck Gary. This time I hope you beat the odds.

Re: Baseball
"And I don't base that on stats. It's based on Edmonds incredible career. Bruce would have to be a hall of fame player to even be in consideration. That's not very likely for a right fielder with a .262 career BA and a .335 OBP. "
Do you even read what you write? You said you weren't basing it on stats and then one sentence later you trot out stats to support your claim. What is wrong with you?

Re: Baseball
Without "stats" Jim Edmonds is not close to being a Hall of Fame player. He was never a wildly popular superstar.
Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.
