U*NC is the cleanest most honest athletic program on the planet. I am jealous of their deserved success, and I'm a mewling cunt.

I hope you're doing better and that none of your family and friends were affected by the tornadoes, AA.

Sympathetic posts upon AA's return? Poor form, guys, very poor form...
Speaking of returns, where's Talent? Even by Goat Pen standards it might be poor form to sass him now. His college sports world is literally falling apart at the seams. Dark days in Columbo...

Actually, AA, I also extend hope that no one within your emotional nimbus was affected by the tornadoes down there. We had a small taste of it ourselves and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. As for your recent gout flare-up, take a powder...

"Hedge, how's the hot yoga going?"
Closest one to me is in Raleigh and I haven't been there yet. I'm just doing regular yoga at the Y, but it's not even on the same planet. At the Y, all the instructor tell you if it hurts, stop. In Bikram, they tell you it's supposed to hurt like hell (the instructors actually say that several time during the session). Plus, the Y classes are only an hour, Bikram is an hour and a half. A full Bikram class is the hardest workout you'll ever do...

I've done it and, I agree,it's tough but great. I was doing yoga a few days a week until I got really deep into this triathlon training and ran out of time. I look forward to getting back to a yoga routine. It's really great.hedge wrote:"Hedge, how's the hot yoga going?"

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
I don't think I really need to render an opinion to preface this
If you missed the first hour of today’s show or if you’re going to listen later on podcast (this is a spoiler), you missed another chapter of the Perplexing Leadership of Billy Gillispie. After talking with Matt about Derrick Jasper’s relationship with Clyde and discussing their new relationship in Lubbock, Mark said that during Gillispie’s first year, he planned to take only the starting five to Gainesville. At the time, the Cats were 7-8 and starting Ramon Harris and Mark Coury, along with Patrick Patterson, Ramel Bradley and Joe Crawford.
After telling the players repeatedly that they would not travel to Gainesville, a group of reserves left to go eat lunch. After a while, assistant coach Jeremy Cox came running in and frantically told them they had a plane to catch. The guys rushed back to the rest of the team at which point Gillispie told the reserves that he didn’t mean any of that stuff and wasn’t sure why he kept telling them that he wasn’t taking them to Florida.
Kentucky went on to lose in overtime, 81-70. The bench accounted combined to shoot 4-12 for 12 points (Meeks - 5, Stevenson - 4, Jasper - 3).
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Hot Yoga/Power Vinyasa prolonged my athletic career by a good 3 years. I love it...although I haven't done it in about 4 years.Cletus wrote:I've done it and, I agree,it's tough but great. Re: Ostensibly Hoops
I would guess if you really got into anything and stuck with it, you'll see results, whether it's swimming, running, PX90 (or whatever it's called), lifting weights or hell, even just walking. But I've seen some folks completely transform from fat ass slobs to being pretty lean and in great shape on hot yoga. I can't see any downside to it, it's basically just advanced stretching. I've been trying to get Stu to go, but he's basically a hopeless case at this point. He better be glad that Haynesworth fiasco just happened to coincide with the one 6 week period he had gone to the gym in the last 30 years or he would've never finished. Probably wouldn't have even finished the first leg...

it only took 4 or 5 years, but it looks like a&m's finally reached closure...aTm wrote:I'd like to say "Thank you, Kentucky".eCat wrote:I don't think I really need to render an opinion to preface this

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
I reached a good amount of closure in December of 2007 when A&M reached a top-15 to top-10 ranking while Kentucky had already lost to Gardner Webb, Houston, UAB, and San Diego among others.
