I've stopped checking scores when UNC plays because I like reading the play by play..whether UNC is winning or losing by 30, reading Goldenbrea's posts make me think the UNC program is about to fall off a cliff

I also have run every AP story that has come out on UNC's problems and even wrote a column (an award-winning one as it turns out) on UNC's lack of oversight. That's about the extent of our coverage of the situation, since our downsizing has kept us more focused on local events. We staffed maybe 2 ACC football games this year and have been to one basketball game and of those 3, 2 have involved East Carolina. You should be directing this rant toward the Cary News or the Apex Herald, not a paper 75 miles away from Chapel Hill....Dumbass

Seems like Ol Roy got fat and happy after title No. 2. He's getting his ass handed to him on the recruiting trail. The Barnes thing was his last big win and it turned out not to be.

There's no need to panic. Most good teams go thru down cycles. We're coming off back to back Elite 8 appearances and but for Kendall Marshall's injury, most likely an NC appearance at minimum and a good shot to win it all. Now a mass exodus and a down year, but I like some of our young players, they'll form a solid nucleus and then a couple of studs will sign on and we'll be in the NC mix again. UK went on a 10+ year drought and K has had some woeful squads but somehow managed to win an NC 3 years ago. We'll be fine...
