I would find it amusing if it turns out that the NCAA has a penalty for things that happen beyond the boundaries of the Univeristy that an intitution may have allowed to happen (Lack of Institutional Control) but would not impose a penalty because a seperate entity within the institution allowed something to happen.

My blood pressure is fine. This is exactly what you get when U*NC is allowed to hand pick who did the investigation, and determined the parameters of the investigation. Nothing. That's what you get, and that's what the "investigation" is worth. We'll see what Dan Kane comes out with in the next couple of weeks.

Not quite all in on Kane. There's still the SBI investigation, and SACS. Kane just seems to be the best option to have not been infiltrated by U*NC. When Martin was announced to head up the "investigation" State fans had high hopes that he would actually you know investigate, but it took less than a week to find out that he and Thorp have served on numerous committees, and boards together and have in fact been friends for years. Yesterday's release was a sick farce. How can you investigate something when you don't talk to anybody? So far only one person without a vested interest in U*NC maintaining status quo has been involved in this mess and that is Dan Kane. I have never had any expectation of significant punishment for U*NC and I still don't. I suspect you will see "AFAM" departments being set up at every school that doesn't already have one very soon.
