I'm sure Mile Tomlin coached at some point in college. SEC Experience? Not sure.

Sumlin abd Strong are doing well. Most of the other black coaches have gotten shit jobs and been given two years to do something.

So Strong, who has said all along that he wants back in the SEC and most sources said would literally jump at the chance turned down Tennessee after meeting with Cheek.

Then Hubbs said this

"I have said and thought from the get go that Hart/Cheek had to have real answers to candidates on the academic stuff.

I don't know that it's the only reason that that Strong said no simply because he called so many people about the job that I'm not sure the sole reason he said no was academics."

Seems like every coach has balked after seeing things first hand and every time it comes back to the english department.

I haven't made a single post on VQ or VN about it but there are many, many, many people talking about the english department hamstringing the AD.

But there you have it, Hubbs just confirmed Strong turned us down because of the english department (at least in part).

Auburn and Arky, even with all their troubles, haven't had any trouble finding a coach but as soon as a good coach starts looking at UT they run and run fast.......
