The Big 12 has a post-realignment era TV deal. Its possible that they have the ability to renegotiate their TV contracts for more money depending on future membership.

Sad, but true, CR. We both suck ass this season. Meanwhile, college basketball overall is down this year, and look who's lurking...

I wonder what's going to happen next year when Cal has a bevy of one and doners who go undrafted but then are going to have to make way for the next crop of super freshmen? Not exactly the worst problem to have, I admit, but it will be interesting to watch...

So UK was up 15-7 with about 12 to go in the first half and ends up losing 64-55. Got outscored by 17 over the last 32 minutes of the game. I have little doubt that this UK squad is going to get better (same for Carolina), but it's hardly up to the standards of recent vintages (again, same with Carolina). This is one of those years you have to look for keys to the future and hope they win a game or two they "shouldn't". Obviously one of those for us is going to be Dook. For UK it's going to be Florida. Fortunately for us, the ACC is down this year. For UK, the SEC is as shitty as usual, so they should finish second or third at worst. At this point I'd say fans of either school would be tickled to death to get to the Sweet 16. That appears to be the upper limit from what I can tell, although as others have noted, college hoops is down across the board this year, so who knows? Very difficult for me to see a FF in either of our futures for this year, however, irregardless of how down college hoops may be..
