Dear Lord no. I watched SportsCenter Sunday morning and saw they trotted out "Johnny Football" to kick an extra point or field goal which was just stupid IMHO. I'm glad he missed or that's all we would have heard about for the rest of the season.

I'm sure the only people who care are prickly old men who search for things like this to complain about to break up the monotony of the stewing in their own bitterness that takes up the majority of their lives.

There is also a team element involved in it. We have a real problem kicking a fucking extra point. Our kicker has flat out missed 4 extra points this year. Another one was blocked. And earlier in the game Saturday a high snap was fumbled and then the ball kicked into the line. Obviously it wasn't all "Lets try Manziel!" because he obviously can't kick, but might have been something to try and break up the tension on PAT's or whatever the hell the problem is.

"Sure its possible that the Heisman isn't on those teams. I think the guy from Baylor got it last year."

LMAO. First you imply that it is barely possible for it to happen, then you cite the current Heisman Trophy winner as an example of it happening. What a moron you are...

I recall a Florida/Auburn game in 1966 that took a similar approach. How'd that work out?

Doesn't matter. If Notre Dame wins on Saturday, a Mormon Linebacker from Hawaii that plays in South Bend will probably get the Heisman nod.

Didn't ND have a Heistman award winner on a losing team? I seem to recall such.

even if ND goes 13-0....nobody has a single "Manti Te'o" memory in their heads when they vote.

anyone else notice Sports Illustrated had Colin Klein on their cover the same week they blew the No.1 ranking and he lost his Heisman?

He can still win if he performs this weekend. Manziel doesn't have a big stage like he does.
