(I have no idea how to get the You Tube embeds to work. It's my single most frustrating attribute about this place. I'll have to wait for aTm to make sense out of it)

The "code" code is for helping folks out. Simply put what you want to say between code tags and you dont have to worry about telling them to take out backslashes or other things like that.[youtu/be]7NZ9X9A2efA[/youtu/be] get rid of the backslash I added between the u and the b
Example
Code: Select all

Has West come by here? Or Sam?
More likely to be at http://detroitpistonsforum.com or http://www.detroitlionsforum.com/forums/ but I'll pop in every now and again.

Re: Automotive - In Memory of West
West is done with the boards, he's trying to get me to join Facebook (where he's found JD, Rah, Nick, Greg, RLF), but I don't social media like that.
I spoke to Sam about a week ago, but I think he was a Crymic or bust cat. Once he saw that people bounced to the Goat Pen, I guess he just figured that would be his sign that he should shut down his posting too.
Looks like I'm going to have to use 1995 tactics to speak with these guys now.

If no one comes from the future to stop you from doing it, then how bad of a decision can it really be?

Yeah, I'm not a regular Facebook user. Maybe a couple of times a month, and that's a sharp increase from last year, when it was more like once every two or three months.

Re: Automotive - In Memory of West
I really like the Goth look of the new M5. Chrysler has a tendency to understate the horsepower and torque of their cars when they release them so I'd take those 0-60 times with a grain of salt. I'm not a big fan of the Taurus' back. And dollar-for-dollar, I'd probably just go with a Charger R/T Daytona for about 37 grand (half the CTS-V's cost, a third of the AMG's and about 40% of the M5, yet only about a half-second to 60 "slower" and a top end of about 158).
If money's no option, I'd really dig that M5. The Charger SRT-8 just says, "Pull my ass over, please" and looks too much like the Nissan GTS-R in the front.

Re: Automotive - In Memory of West
2012 Nissan GTR-S
2012 Dodge Charger SRT-8
Of course, I could just mod the SRT-8 a bit so that the lower bumper isn't a solid black over the middle. Just have it color-coded to tie in with the rest of the frame. Not sure why Chyrsler thought that to be a good idea. I know you want to make the car look more distinct from the R/T but I don't think it helps the already aggressive looking front end.
Then again, maybe I just need to get used to it.

You should try the tactic of the lakes going into the tank once he stopped posting. The CURSE of West (and the rest)Bklyn wrote:West is done with the boards, he's trying to get me to join Facebook (where he's found JD, Rah, Nick, Greg, RLF), but I don't social media like that.

Agreed, Bling. And that's a good idea, TMD.
Re: Automotive - In Memory of West
That Charger is the hottest one of the bunch, except for the grill which is too big.
I can't believe ford is making a Taurus that does 150mph.
The front end of the Bemer reminds me of an Edsel.
