We're fucked. The 47% that do not pay income tax have taken this country and will vote in whatever largess pleases them at the expense of those who undestand cause-and-effect. Time to start Atlas Shrugging.Dick Morris wrote:That he could get re-elected despite his dismal record is a tribute to his brilliant campaign staff and the shifting demographics of America. This is not your father’s United States and the Republican tilt toward white middle aged and older voters is ghettoizing the party so that even bad economic times are not enough to sway the election. By the time you finish with the various demographic groups the Democrats win, you almost have a majority in their corner. Count them: Blacks cast 13% of the vote and Obama won them 12-1. Latinos cast 10% and Obama carried them by 7-3. Under 30 voters cast 19% of the vote and Obama swept them by 12-7. Single white women cast 18% of the total vote and Obama won them by 12-6. There is some overlap among these groups, of course, but without allowing for any, Obama won 43-17 before the first married white woman or man over 30 cast their vote. (Lets guess that if we eliminate duplication, the Obama margin would be 35-13) Having conceded these votes, Romney would have had to win over two-thirds of the rest of the vote to win. He almost did. But not quite. If Romney couldn’t manage this trick against Obama in the current economy, no Republican could.
Pretty sure the biz owner has paid a large amount in taxes, so yes he did build that.bluetick wrote:I went to the google and found a source of a reproduction of obama's "you didn't build that" and it appears to my naked eyes and ear that he is referring to the infrastructure (roadways etc) that lead to the business.
You know, there are hundreds of interesting videos on this You Tube thingy site.

The Schadenfreude you are feeling now will quickly pass into terrible regret (on your part) for harming civilization. You can't see that now, but you will eventually. It is just like Jane Roe finding Christ in later years and realizing that she is personally responsible for the deaths of over 50,000,000 Americans. It hit her like a ton of brocks and it will hit OwlMan.Owlman wrote:Getting caught up on all the posts, I was just about to say that watching IB's emotional breakdown on here has been the most entertaining thing I've read in a long time. Nobody has a soul, you fucking idiot. It's just another absurd invention from your ridiculous religion.innocentbystander wrote:The Schadenfreude you are feeling now will quickly pass into terrible regret (on your part) for harming civilization. The people who will not see any harm in what they've done, are the childless adults. Many of these people do not have souls. They have no posterity to leave all these debts, these social contracts, these obligations. When they are dead and gone, (to them) it is the end of the entire fucking universe. Of course vote for Obama (and irresponsibility) because, what difference does it make what the future holds our children? I no longer have desire to try and reach out to these people in meaningful dialogue, that is an effort in futility.
This election proved that we (as a society) are not responsible enough to have self-rule.
