Yeah dad said the Unions were lying there asses off during that referendum. HehDr. Strangelove wrote:I'd be surprised if Obama won by 5 points.puterbac wrote:Well if that is the case it be over. Hard to see oh be that far from natonal polls though.Dr. Strangelove wrote:Reporter on CNN says he's obtained the Romney camp's final internal poll for Ohio and it showed Romney behind by 5 points.
Take it with a grain of salt
But 1) the economy is better here than the national average. 2) The auto bailout was supported by a higher percentage than the national average. Ohio may be somewhat "unique" this election. 3) Still a state that largely supports unions. Note that Kasich's law banning public unions was abolished by statewide referendum.

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
Kasich's mistake is that he went a lot farther than Walker in Wisconsin. He went after the fire and police unions too. People will tolerate and even applaud when a bureaucrat's salary gets slashed but when you appear to be attacking the firemen and their pensions and benefits, well...puterbac wrote:

One thing I will never understand is voting a split ticket.
If you like what the guy at the top wants to do, wtf do you hamstrng him by voting for the other party for house or senate? Manchen n wv is a prime example. He ran completely away from oprama, who hates coal, yet he will of course caucus with dems. Which means your desires on coal are fucked.
Don't get that.

Maybe you just want gridlock? Parties seem to abuse their power any time they control all three branchesputerbac wrote:One thing I will never understand is voting a split ticket.

Down to only a 20,000 vote margin with 69% of precincts in. But Miami-Dade is lurking out there...
