Boortz...
Well ... We Made It
Can Freedom Win Today? Yes! But It Won't Be Easy
November 6, 2012
By Neal Boortz
Today America faces it’s greatest domestic threat .. the uneducated voter. The type of voter who:
Will vote for Obama simply because of the color of his skin, and for no other reason.
Will vote for Obama because they’ve always voted for Democrats, and that’s just the way it is.
Who believes that Romney is only for rich people.
Who believes that you can build an economy from the bottom up .. and that poor people start businesses and create jobs.
Who believe Obama when he says --- and, yes! He has actually said this --- that he brought our deficit down.
Who believes that Obama saved the auto industry.
Who believes that it is the goal of government to redistribute wealth according to the political whims of the moment.
Who doesn’t understand that Obama is an anti-capitalist who believes the world would be better off if America is weaker economically and militarily.
Who believes that Obama actually took the shot that killed bin Laden
Who doesn’t understand that Obama hasn’t met with his Jobs Council in over 10 months … but has had plenty of time for dozens of rounds of golf.
Who believes that the rich don’t pay “their fair share” of income taxes.
Who believes that Warren Buffet actually pays less in taxes than his secretary.
Who believes that Obama actually gives a damn about Israel
Who does not understand that fewer people have jobs today than when Obama took office, even though our population has grown by hundreds of thousands.
Who doesn’t realize that Obama has increased our deficit by an amount more than all the presidents from George Washington to George W. Bush --- combined.
Who doesn’t understand how much money their children will have to pay back to cover the cost of those Obama “investments” in green energy – handouts of borrowed funds to Obama cronies.
Oh yeah .. this list can go on and on. The simple fact is the uneducated voter is the greatest threat to freedom, liberty and to America itself; and sadly I think the uneducated voter is going to rule this day.
There is one thing that the pundits seem to agree on: The election today will come down to turn out. Simple as that. For those of you who love freedom and liberty, I’m sorry to say that the numbers are stacked against you. Our nations of moochers has been steadily increasing for decades and exponentially increasing under the reign of Barack Obama. As of right now about 60% of all American households get more money from the government in various entitlement checks than they pay to the government in the form of income taxes, and that number goes up steadily. Very few of these people will vote for any candidate other than the one they believe will keep that money – and more – coming.
This is a term most government-educated voters will not understand ---- but the net-tax payers are outnumbered. The die is cast.
Truth be told, we as a nation have outlived our life expectancy. We have already survived longer than any other society ever built on the rule of law and economic and personal freedom. Societies such as ours generally last 200 years. For those of you who go to government schools, that means that we have passed that that mark. But why do these societies eventually die? It’s simple, really. Societies such as ours die because people eventually find out that they can go to the ballot box and use their vote to get their hands on somebody else's money. This is exactly what many of these Obama voters will be doing today: Voting to do through the government what would be a crime if they did it themselves.

I catch about an hour's worth of Fox every week (captively) working out at the gym. Otherwise, I get my news from the KNS, the Today Show, and Brian Williams. Never (rarely) watch any of the cable news channels in the evening.
I do watch Morning Joe every morning, though - my one punditry vice. Mika..and the rest.

You would be well served to give Special Report a chance at 6 pm each night.bluetick wrote:I catch about an hour's worth of Fox every week (captively) working out at the gym. The panel segment is the best news on TV.

That is essentially the same thing Samuel Johnson was saying about American democracy 225 years ago and why he predicted that it would be a horrible failure from the beginning. Whoops...
Funny how sour grapes taste the same after all that time. Poor Boortz...

Of course Boortz's early mentor and employer was noted segragationist Gov. Lester Maddox of GA.

I always feel sorry for that guy...it's like he's constantly got a thought-bubble over his head that says "I can't believe I'm here doing this shit." An obviously gay man doing Fox's bidding...weird.

I don't think he's gay, he's just goofy. He's one of the better straight (no pun intended) newscasters on TV, IMO...

Out magazine has released its annual Power 50 list honoring extraordinary gays and lesbians, and a couple of news personalities have made the top ten. CNN's Anderson Cooper and Fox News anchor Shepard Smith placed fourth and sixth, respectively
You may be right, Hedge, but...#6 in the nation is pretty hard to ignore.
the gaytors are number seven

And all that beauty, all that wealth e'er gave,
Awaits alike th' inevitable hour.
The paths of glory lead but to the grave.

Reporter on CNN says he's obtained the Romney camp's final internal poll for Ohio and it showed Romney behind by 5 points.

I still get Cigar Aficionado, National Geographic, Smithsonian, Mental Floss, The New Yorker, Chess Life, and the Mensa Bulletin by hard copy magazine. The rest are all eSubscriptions. I didn't specify hard copy or eSubscription, though. Or are you saying you get nothing eSub or otherwise?bluetick wrote:heh @ magazine subscriptionsAlabamAlum wrote:So, we now know what magazines tick subscribes to.

But 1) the economy is better here than the national average. 2) The auto bailout was supported by a higher percentage than the national average. Ohio may be somewhat "unique" this election. 3) Still a state that largely supports unions. Note that Kasich's law banning public unions was abolished by statewide referendum.

Early reports that the Republican candidate for Indiana (Mourdock) is in trouble. He's trailing the Democrat and basically no votes have come in yet from Indianapolis or NW Indiana
