Updated:

"Read New" button that takes you directly to first unread message has been added to the "View Unread Messages" list that is linked on the home page.

Future updates:

"View Unread Messages" list will probably eventually need to be added to the navigation bar, for more visibility on all board pages rather than just the home page. Also will check on adding ability to mark particular topics as already read from the "View Unread Messages" list for topics that a user does not care to look through.

Update:

I edited a couple threads to add an "NSFW" tag to their title. Threads with questionable images will appear in the "View Unread Posts" or searches and could possibly be clicked on without being aware that these are in a NSFW forum. Also, in the case of the Goat Pen's NSFW Oregon State thread, it shares a name with another thread in the college football forum and I wanted to differentiate the two.

When creating threads that will contain questionable material, please designate them as NSFW to help everyone out.

Update:

Navigation bar for all forums has been updated.

It now contains a link directly to your unread messages (View Unread Posts), in addition to a link to the text of the old Goat Pen Welcome page (About us).

Footer on all forums has been updated. On the "Jump to:" line another link to view your unread posts lists has been added so that users do not have to scroll back to the top of the page to the navigation bar to find a quick link to view unread posts.

View unread posts and seach pages now shows the name of the forum rather than the useless first post post info.
