Good game aTm'ers. Your boys certainly hit hard enough to play in this league and that QB has some gifts. Give the Bammers and Tigers some headaches later in the season.

Limited passing game for freshman QB hurt us. Needed a legit defensive play (ie turnover) or an experienced offensive player to make a big play and it never happened.

Not that this had a huge impact on the game, just want to vent about it...but I fucking hate icing the kicker, EVER. Doing it the way we did at the end of the first half is an even bigger slap in my face, because 1) how can you use a timeout for such a garbage reason when with 2 minutes left and getting the ball you will probably NEED timeouts, and 2) shockingly the kicker missed the kick before the timeout and made it afterwards. Then 3) we ran out of time at the end trying to set up a FG with no timeouts. Just great.

Sometimes you just wonder what game coaches are watching. Late in the Utah-Utah St game the Utes starting DE's and a safety were all out of teh game, so what does Utah State do on 3rd and short? Run straight up the middle to Utah's 320lb 1st round draft pick nose tackle. Doh, lose two yards. Then Utah takes out their best wide receiver during the last part of their answering drive and ends up kicking a long field goal instead of potentially winning the game. Crazy.
U*NC is the cleanest most honest athletic program on the planet. I am jealous of their deserved success, and I'm a mewling cunt.

Brent even said it at the time. That icing call may come back to be the difference in the game.

I dont think A&M wins if they dont ice the kicker, but it didn't help and was the wrong decision. Icing the kicker is a silly, but acceptable decision at the very end of a half where you have a timeout just sitting there, its idiocy with 2 minutes left. With 2 minutes left there are myriad possible scenarios that could come up where that timeout could still have an effective use, whereas icing the kicker is a sketchy mind game with limited value at best.

I agree. We had a high school coach here last night use all 3 of his second half timeout to try and ice the kicker on his game winning attempt. I hate that crap.

FYI, the freshman made his 1st ever field goal and #2 held off #3 here in my town.

I'm glad the petty move of trying to 'ice' the kicker as the ball is being snapped backfired on someone, even better that it went in UF's favor. The whole ploy is stupid, unsportsmanlike and doesn't work.

I don't think it's petty or unsportsmanlike - I just don't think it works.

Not caring about them would make you 'aggieapathetic'.
