I'm confused. Didn't we aid the rebels somewhat in overthrowing Qaddafi?

This is repayment?

Those same US-aided rebels are also conducting mass genocide against black Libyans.

During a press conference later, O'Mara was asked if he had any advice for Zimmerman, and he answered, "Pay me."

Is there any doubt that these "people" need to be eradicated?

Eradicated as in a "Final Solution?"

Not the same thing. I don't recall that the Jews were mass murdering anyone.

I'm just asking for clarification - are you calling for the extermination of all Libyans? Or all Muslims? Or all Arab Muslims? Or all Arabs?

And I suspect it will go right back to being that way.
An amazingly cogent post from you, but you ignore two items: 1) religious conservatives are not the only conservatives in the GOP

Objection sustained. I should have said "Non-country club conservatives."
While you accuse Blacks of robotic voting, you skipped over the fact that, in the 48-year alliance between the Religious Right and the GOP,
Incorrect. The religious right didn't flock to the GOP until the 80's. That would only be 30-ish years ago. Unless you believe the religious right was alive and well during the Johnson Administration. Recheck your arithmetic.
*Roe v. Wade became the Law of the Land and NONE of the GOP Presidents (Nixon, Ford, Reagan or either Bush) really put on a hard press to overturn it (and Reagan absolutely had the political will to do so, as well as the court).
Also wildly and factually incorrect. Roe v. Wade was done by a liberal SCOTUS staffed mostly by Democrat presidents. The only way for a Republican president to overturn Roe is to repopulate SCOTUS with pro-life judges. Republican Presidents have done this pretty well. Reagan appointed Scalia (Peace be upon him). Bush Sr. (by your lights a typical racist Republican) appointed the only black to SCOTUS, Clarence Thomas (Peace Be upon him too). Bush Jr. appointed Roberts and Alito. All were as apparently as pro-life as the vetting process allows. As an ardent pro-lifer, I couldn't ask more from the Republican presidents' selection of pro-life justices.
*Prayer is not in Public Schools
I'm a full blown religious conservative, and I'm all for that.
*Gays marry, openly serve in the military, star in TV shows, etc.
And this is the Republicans' fault how? Obama ended DADT, not Republicans.
*Marriage rates are at an all-time low
And this is the Republicans' fault how?
*The GOP has nominated as many Mormons as it has Evangelicals for POTUS
You are more obsessed with religious labels than R's are. Those intolerant bigoted evangelicals have voted and will vote for a Mormon in November, so there goes that canard.
*The non-Christian population of the USA has grown exponentially.
I haven't noticed the racist R's banning immigration from non-Christian countries or forcing birth control on non-Christian families. Given that R's are all vicious racists, you'd think they would have done that when they ran the whole country, wouldn't you?

MEANWHILE:
So, why in the world does the Religious Right support the GOP?

They did for 30 something years, and that may be coming to an end, while the Black community will maintain their automaton 90% support of the Dems until the end of time, no matter what.

JD, if you don't mind me asking, in what denomination are you ordained? Full disclosure: I'm Eastern Orthodox.

The oldest Black Denomination in the world - African Methodist Episcopal (AME for short).
The AME Church grew out of the Free African Society (FAS), which Richard Allen, Absalom Jones, and other free blacks established in Philadelphia in 1787. They left St. George's Methodist Episcopal Church because of discrimination. Although Allen and Jones were both accepted as preachers, they were limited to black congregations. In addition, the blacks were made to sit in a separate gallery built in the church when their portion of the congregation increased. These former members of St. George’s made plans to transform their mutual aid society into an African congregation. Although the group was originally non-denominational, eventually members wanted to affiliate with existing denominations.
At one time (110 years ago), we were the largest "black" denomination in the country, but we've shrunk to 5th or 6th.

Full disclosure - I pastored a Presbyterian Church for 3 and 1/2 years, but didn't like their style of worship, so I came back to the AME Church 14 years ago.

On [Thomas] Jefferson's inauguration as president in 1801, Yusuf Karamanli, the Pasha (or Bashaw) of Tripoli, demanded $225,000 from the new administration. (In 1800, Federal revenues totaled a little over $10 million.) Putting his long-held beliefs into practice, Jefferson refused the demand. Consequently, on May 10, 1801, the Pasha declared war on the U.S., not through any formal written documents but in the customary Barbary manner of cutting down the flagstaff in front of the U.S. Consulate.

Jefferson pressed the issue the following year, with an increase in military force and deployment of many of the Navy's best ships to the region throughout 1802. The USS Argus, Chesapeake, Constellation, Constitution, Enterprise, Intrepid, Philadelphia and Syren all saw service during the war under the overall command of Commodore Edward Preble. Throughout 1803, Preble set up and maintained a blockade of the Barbary ports and executed a campaign of raids and attacks against the cities' fleets.

The turning point in the war came with the Battle of Derna (April–May 1805). Ex-consul William Eaton, who went by the rank of general, and US Marine First Lieutenant Presley O'Bannon led a mixed force of eight United States Marines[26] and 500 Greeks from the island of Crete, Arab, and Berber mercenaries on a march across the desert from Alexandria, Egypt to assault and to capture the Tripolitan city of Derna. This was the first time in history that the United States flag was raised in victory on foreign soil. This action was memorialized in a line from the Marines' Hymn—"the shores of Tripoli."[27]

So the current tally is:

Black SCOTUS justices appointed by Democrat presidents who love black people: 1

Black SCOTUS justices appointed by racist Republicans who would reinstate slavery if given half a chance: 1

You could've at least prefaced your last post with "OK, I was wrong, but..."

"Full disclosure: I'm Eastern Orthodox."

Orthodox what? Catholic? Jew? What does orthodox mean in the context of official religious title? Just curious. I mean, I'm an atheist, but would I be more of an atheist if I was an orthodox atheist? Not sure what "orthodox" means in this type of context...

A couple of questions: Is the eastern ortho church different from other catholic denominations (if that's even the right word)? Are there different denominations within the catholic church? I've always thought the catholic church considered itself the only "real" christian church, but are there divisions within the catholic church itself? What is your opinion of (say) methodists? Or any other protestant sect? Do you think they're really real christians? Or do they not get to "really" take communion (ya'll call it the eurcharist, right?) What about mormons? Are they "really" christians? Just wondering...
