I don't know, it just enrages me to see him happy. Fortunately, his constitutional morbidity keeps that from happening very often. Indeed, rarely have I seen him as enraged as he was on his wedding day as we were doing some last minute shopping...

LOL @ Rat's success line.

Yoga is excellent. Flexible health is so often overlooked.

good two exercise workout once the cold weather gets here is squat thrust with two pushups throw in . start about 8 reps (16 pushups) then do that cowbell thingie starign about 9 or 10 reps--I use a dumbbell instead of a cowbell.

you alternate those two working your reps down to 7 then 6 then 5 etc etc.. and you know it the next day. unfortunately wine women song and golf often interfered with working out. and being lazy

That's a good routine. Squat thrusts kill me, but they work.

I just updated our forum software, in case you noticed that we were down for a couple minutes. Please let me know if you see something funny or not working correctly.

I just hit the elliptical at the Y for 40 min. this a.m. then stretched for 15 min. I feel great, not to mention that I've lost 12 lbs since returning from vacation 5 weeks ago, thanks to my daily glass of chia seed.

I'm going to hit the weights next week and by Thanksgiving I'll be ready to challenge hedge to a boxing match

I can't stand exercising or running. I just play basketball at lunch 3 times a week and once a week at night. Whenever the eventual achilles or knee injury comes I'll just have to resign myself to BRMdom...

Hey oldman, eat a sack of dicks. I am working on it. I am on the Slim Slow plan.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

there's a trainer at my gym that runs a group "bootcamp" session on wednesdays and the kettle bells come out in full force. Squats, Planks & Burpees for an hour and I feel like wanting to puke at the end of every session

she asked if I wanted to sign up to her "Core training" class on Mondays

WTF? so there is something more "core" oriented than this shyt? Most of the time my ass & abs go numb the whole day after.

Heh, I was gonna bring up burpees and the clean and (overhead) press, too, but didn't feel like explaining them. It's all good shit.

We don't plank, though, we use the wheel. If we do plank it's on three, with one appendage stretched out. I laid low on my physique for a few years after my kids were born, but I'm trying to see if I can get the six pack back. I keep telling myself that Denzel and Jackman both did "Hurricane" and "Wolverine" at 42, so I have time to pull the skin tight across my torso.

I use the wheel every morning right when I get out of bed. Couldn't do but 5 or 6 reps at first, but I've worked up to 50. Definitely firms up the abs, but it does nothing for the gut...

The gut is about diet and cardio. Remove carbs and stop the beer and you're most of the way there.
