I have little regard for the argument that Americans are too dumb or corrupt to know what's good for the country and vote accordingly.

That's like a business that is not selling well, and their leaders' response is NOT to look at themselves, and ask what THEY are doing wrong. When the leaders of a business look at their poor sales figures and say, "The buyers are just too stupid to realize how much better our product is than our competitor's. Damn them!" that is a business that is delusional, worthy of no respect, and doomed to fail.

George W. wasn't a fiscal conservative. In fact, his Medicare bills is one of the main culprits for it being in the financial mess it is.
I agree that W governed as a fiscal liberal. My point is that he ran, twice, successfully, as a conservative. This fact disproves the assertion that conservatives can't win these days.

Don't think I ever said I hated anyone.

I said I don't think the majority have the morals to know right from wrong when it comes to stealing from someone else to line their pockets in the form of gubment handouts.

I hope I am wrong on that, but I don't think I will be. Jealousy and promising to take other peoples things and distribute them to others has been a game winner for democrats for years and I the more are dependent on gubment the easier it is to win that way. I think we have hit critical mass on the amount of moochers and the producers are just going to be robbed more and more every year from now on until the US goes under.

We will see. If Romney wins I will be happy to say I was wrong.

If Oprama wins it will be proof that the majority only cares about punnishing success and stripping the producers of the fruits of their labor to distribute it to somebody else. There is a reason class warefare is such a good tool. Jealousy and envy are easy to produce and easy emotions to get stirred up. Hard to control and easy to let out of the cage. Class warfare plays on those and it gets votes plain and simple. It has for years and as has been predicted when you get to the point that there are more takers than producers then that society is doomed to fail. That's where I think we are, right on that brink.

It's the 18-26 voter that I have a problem with. For the most part they are young, dumb and full of cum and don't have a fucking clue on what is best for the country and frankly don't have much at stake. Raise the voting age to 26 and you would solve a lot of this bullshit.

The problem with voting in the U.S. today is too many morons who don't have a fucking clue are allowed to vote (i.e. Rat). They should go back to only allowing property owners and men without felonies vote.
That is basically what Ann Coulter wants and I agree with her.

http://www.anncoulter.com/columns/2010-11-10.html
First Wife Ann wrote:Adopted in 1971 at the tail end of the Worst Generation's anti-war protests, the argument for allowing children to vote was that 18-year-olds could drink and be conscripted into the military, so they ought to be allowed to vote.

But 18-year-olds aren't allowed to drink anymore. We no longer have a draft. In fact, while repealing the 26th Amendment, we ought to add a separate right to vote for members of the military, irrespective of age.

As we have learned from ObamaCare, young people are not considered adults until age 26, at which point they are finally forced to get off their parents' health care plans. The old motto was "Old enough to fight, old enough to vote." The new motto is: "Not old enough to buy your own health insurance, not old enough to vote."

Eighteen- to 26-year-olds don't have property, spouses, children or massive tax bills. Most of them don't even have jobs because the president they felt so good about themselves for supporting wrecked the economy.

The meager tax young people paid for vehicle licensing fees on their cars threw them into such a blind rage that in 2003 they uncharacteristically voted to recall the Democratic governor of California, Gray Davis. Wait until they start making real money and realize they share a joint-checking account arrangement with the government! Literally wait. Then we'll let them vote.
And forget women voting. As Ann so clearly states here, women voting means government spending and abortion loving Presidents.

Ladies, we gave you the vote. You fucked it all up. You (as a gender) are not responsible enough to have the right to vote. You simply vote yourself goodies from government at the expense of men, Sandra Fluke style. If you can't marry a sugar daddy, you turn government into one. The real world is not Title-IX.

We should repeal both the 26th and the 19th Amendment, and repeal them NOW.
Why not just assess a poll tax of $100,000...

That way we can avoid long and costly elections, and only those who can afford free speech will be able to vote.

Pussy.
Yeah, I wasn't even thinking about that.

I believe that Rat made a really bad choice in life, (marrying a woman who tried to destroy him.) I think you know how that might feel Wizard. She used the power we give women with respect to law and order (that being, the benefit of the doubt.) His ex-wife could lie in court and destroy him, give him a felony conviction. If that is the case (and only Rat, and her, and God know for sure) she will have to answer to the Almighty on her judgement for that one.
IB's parents made a really bad choice, by not having an abortion.

Better yet... nobody over 30 gets to vote.

Their generations fucked up the country, they did enough damage.

People should lose their voting privileges when they turn 62. The elderly are bleeding this country dry with their demands for free everything and evening steak specials of $2.99

Come to think about it, the founders were right to restrict voting to property owners...

Wiz, off topic but I have a legitimate question for you.

Is there any accountability for officials, especially ones that make just God awful calls? I ask this because I was watching a replay of the NC State, Louisville game today and they called roughing the passer on a guy that just ran out of bounds with the QB, didn't throw him or make any contact out of bounds, but the QB threw his hands up like something happened and the ref threw the flag. Even though the replay clearly showed absolutely nothing happened they stuck with the call. They had the head of that conference that blew it (MAC I think) in the booth and when asked he said "well it looks different on the field) but basically the ref didn't call what happened he called what the QB asked for and it was pretty clear the only thing he saw was the QB throw his hands up in the air and he threw the flag.

Did he just get away with that?

Well if you mean "got away with it" as in didn't lose his job well probably yes. Every conference grades their officials every game...every play. Every crew and every official gets a grade each game. If a guy f's up enough yes he can get suspended or if a call is just plain bad enough they could get suspended or even terminated. If you recall the infamous "Fift Down" game between Colorado and Mizzou that crew (they were based out of Omaha) from ther Big 8 was axed for that one call. Now for an out of bounds call like that if it was indeed bad enough the head of officials from the MAC could take appropriate actions and suspend him for a game...but that would be about it would be my guess...unless he had a history of screw ups.
