I do like the Ryan pick, but this country now has a majority of moochers and we are indeed going the way of Greece. They ain't gonna vote for anybody that believes in personal responsibility.

That's because only in government is a reduction of an increase in spending called "massive draconian cuts that will kill senior citizens and babies"

I was somewhat familiar with Ryan before today, but I have been watching film clips of him all morning. This guy is fabulous. He is intelligent, articulate, photogenic, and a fiscal conservative's dream come true.
With this pick, Romney finally got the base on board. That will really help him in November.

It's not often I agree with Rat but on this I do 100%.
I have absolutely no faith in the average American citizen any more to recognize that it's not right to steal from someone else so they can have things so they are gonna come out in droves to support the party that is gonna give them more of other peoples money.

Funny how 24 hours passed without a post after I posted this. Hmmmm. Weird.Jungle Rat wrote:Went through my stack of UBS statements today. Usually I just throw them in a file cabinet. The only way the R's win in November is if they incorporate an intelligence test for voting priveleges. The problem with voting in the U.S. today is too many morons who don't have a fucking clue are allowed to vote (i.e. Rat). They should go back to only allowing property owners and men without felonies vote.

Not a word about how my investments have recovered almost 5 years after Bush and his boys crushed them. Typical. Must have been magic! Poor Wizzie hates that my vote cancels his out and ends up winning.

That is basically what Ann Coulter wants and I agree with her.THE_WIZARD_ wrote:The only way the R's win in November is if they incorporate an intelligence test for voting priveleges. And forget women voting. As Ann so clearly states here, women voting means government spending and abortion loving Presidents.First Wife Ann wrote:Adopted in 1971 at the tail end of the Worst Generation's anti-war protests, the argument for allowing children to vote was that 18-year-olds could drink and be conscripted into the military, so they ought to be allowed to vote.
But 18-year-olds aren't allowed to drink anymore. We no longer have a draft. In fact, while repealing the 26th Amendment, we ought to add a separate right to vote for members of the military, irrespective of age.
As we have learned from ObamaCare, young people are not considered adults until age 26, at which point they are finally forced to get off their parents' health care plans. The old motto was "Old enough to fight, old enough to vote." The new motto is: "Not old enough to buy your own health insurance, not old enough to vote."
Eighteen- to 26-year-olds don't have property, spouses, children or massive tax bills. Most of them don't even have jobs because the president they felt so good about themselves for supporting wrecked the economy.
The meager tax young people paid for vehicle licensing fees on their cars threw them into such a blind rage that in 2003 they uncharacteristically voted to recall the Democratic governor of California, Gray Davis. Wait until they start making real money and realize they share a joint-checking account arrangement with the government! Literally wait. Then we'll let them vote.

Ladies, we gave you the vote. You fucked it all up. You (as a gender) are not responsible enough to have the right to vote. You simply vote yourself goodies from government at the expense of men, Sandra Fluke style. If you can't marry a sugar daddy, you turn government into one. The real world is not Title-IX.
We should repeal both the 26th and the 19th Amendment, and repeal them NOW.

blah blah, and lol. Is Ann wrong or right in the point she made about her own gender?Jungle Rat wrote:You are Tim McVeigh reincarnated. You IB are a psychotic fool. I hope your local authorities are keeping an eye on you.
You tell me Rat? You and I both know women (and know them very well.)

Yeah, I wasn't even thinking about that.THE_WIZARD_ wrote:Rat is just pissed because we want to take away hir right to vote due to him being a convicted felon.

I believe that Rat made a really bad choice in life, (marrying a woman who tried to destroy him.) I think you know how that might feel Wizard. She used the power we give women with respect to law and order (that being, the benefit of the doubt.) His ex-wife could lie in court and destroy him, give him a felony conviction. If that is the case (and only Rat, and her, and God know for sure) she will have to answer to the Almighty on her judgement for that one.

Between BOJ hating most of his fellow Americans and IB's rabid hatred of women and minorities, I'm not sure which is more distasteful.

Yes, Oprama has helped those who don't have to work or run a business, whether they be welfare sucklings or old fart investors...Jungle Rat wrote:Not a word about how my investments have recovered almost 5 years after Bush and his boys crushed them. Seriously, I don't worry about guys like you and me who don't need to gain any more financially to live a decent life. I worry about those coming up now and are trying to start a business. I worry about those trying to get out of the lower classes. I worry about those middle incomers trying to be a 1 per center one day. I worry about those who want to continue to practice and express their faith without government recourse. That will be harder and harder for them as it is in Europe right now.

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
Reagan could not win in this day and age. George W. wasn't a fiscal conservative. In fact, his Medicare bills is one of the main culprits for it being in the financial mess it is.sardis wrote:Keep telling yourself that archaic delusional theory. An uber conservative can't win any more in this country. It is clear, by any reasonable sane analysis, that if this country has any chance of thwarting an European fate is if Mitt is elected instead of Oprama; or if the R's can get control of the Senate and HR. Problem is, Mitt will not win. Not because he is a bad candidate, but because America has turned the corner to where 60% of the population depend on the other 40%. Most Americans are like the Greeks, deep in debt and expect the rest to bail them out without any shame at all at the fact they continue to hold out their hand.Professor Tiger wrote:I agree that the MSM is hopelessly in the tank for the Democrats. But it's always been that way. If liberal media bias was as insurmountable as BOJ and others think, a Republican would never be elected president. But in fact, a lot of Republicans have been elected president - more, in fact, than Democrats in my lifetime.
The lesson to be learned is, if the Republicans are going up against a liberal candidate like Obama, they need to counter a liberal with a conservative. Every time the Republicans run a convincing conservative like a Reagan or a W, they win. Conversely, every time the R's run a mushy moderate like a Romney, or a McCain, or a Dole, or a Bush Sr. without Reagan's coattails, they lose.
Equally important, when Republicans get conservatives elected, they need to actually govern like conservatives, unlike the big spending, big borrowing, and utopian W.
Finally, the conservatives in the Republican party must realize that their party is largely run by wealthy country club corporatists. These people are not conservative, and don't mind losing all that much. They are largely responsible for the long string of mushy moderate nominees that keep losing over and over again.
As soon as the R's figure out these basic and simple truths, and start nominating conservatives, and start rejecting the Goldman Sachs Republicans, they'll start winning again. Until then, they won't.
