In Europe if you are coaching one of those countries you get fired or retained based on what you do in World Cup qualifying, the World Cup, EURO qualifying and at the EURO's.

The next big matches for European teams are this fall and they are qualifiers for the 2014 world cup. International football there revolves around 2 year cycles of qualifying for and then playing in World Cup and then the same for EURO. Those are the only two major tournaments.

Welcome to the 20's and 30's! Or at the very least the 70's when NASL teams played home games at Fenway, Yankee Stadium and Wrigley.

Nope, a little before my Olympic watching time. But I think Bubbles is gonna win the Silver, if he can catch Thorpe and Coolidge from the cast of "The White Shadow."

Bubbles and Thorpe finished in 4th and 5th.
