Definitely Bucknor and Culbreth.

I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Is this the kid who posted pics from his folks house in Miami? He graduated? Maybe his dad is rich.
Doubt it though.

I have to look twice to see that the Pirates are really in 1st place in the NL central at the Allstar break. They haven't even had a winning season in 20 years, but the fact remains they are a good team and they are not going to go away, in spite of what several Cincinnati sports announcers say.

Re: Baseball
At the end I see the NL Central coming down to the Reds & Cards one last time. Pittsburgh is going to hang around a lot longer then they did last year and starting next year I see the makings of a repeat of the Reds/Pirates rivalry of the 70s following the same script.
For the Reds to make both teams a non issue Dusty needs a bat to the head just once so that he can be here today in actual 2012. Not batting behind Hank Aaron. Phillips needs to lead off. Why he isn't yet is Dusty still going by the book that Gabe Paul wrote back when my dad and his son played in the same outdoor shed that Gabe & Babe Ruth shared cigars in. Hannigan hits second. Look at his numbers and tell me no. Joey, enough said. Frazier hits 4th at 3B (Rolen needs to take this week and decide if he wants to retire now or be a bench player for his final season and instill his leadership from the bench. I think it would be tremendous if he took curtain number two and hung around and mentored this group. He has been a great example for the kids). Bruce hits 5th. He's the best RBI guy to back up #4. Bruce has been walking a tightrope for 2-1/2 years here with Reds fans. He's hot & cold but with Bruce it's more like Hell or North pole sometimes. #6 is Cozart. Pretty cool the Reds have 2 Rookie Of The Year Candidates. Zack could be around for awhile. DiDi as trade bait? #7 goes to Ludwick/Heisey or whoever they hopefully trade for. Heisey might be good trade bait too. I like the kid but he can do better somewhere else. Maybe San Diego. Hell, half our drafted minor league system is over there by now. Carlos Quentin would look nice in left field every day. #8 Stubbs. OK, I get it he's fast. Then what? What exactly has Drew Stubbs done to justify him starting everyday in CF? You already said that. He's fast. But the dude can't hit. It's that simple. Get what you can for him & push B. Hamilton as hard as you can.

Re: Baseball
Agree almost 100 percent (I think Stubbs provides more defense in CF, granted most of it is due to speed, but his arm ain't bad). Dusty also has to manage the bullpen better - get over the Chapman as closer mentality and use him in high-leverage situations regardless of what inning it is.

Re: Baseball
Depends on what for -- Juan Pierre or Shane Victorino? Upset.
I would like to see how he does under a hitting coach/philosophy that preached plate discipline and values OBP rather than hacking at the first pitch and swinging for the fences. That approach (which I blame Dusty for and annoys me as much as his illogical line-up cards and mishandling of the pitching staff in-game situations) is his problem (and Phillips, Heisey, Cozart, and to some extent Bruce). The Reds don't take pitches, draw walks or move runners over unless it's by the bunt (another dumb Dusty trend, giving up outs unnecessarily). Did you know the Reds are 11-24 in games where they don't hit a home run? They don't know how to manufacture runs. We're almost last in the league in batting average with Runners in Scoring Position, and dead last (I think) in scoring runners from third with less than two outs.
Sorry for the tangent, but I hate to give up on Stubbs if the problem is coaching philosophy. Now, if his strikeout rate is simply because he can't pick up the damn ball and no amount of plate discipline in the world can fix it, then it's time to let him go. I guess to answer your question, I hope Dusty is gone before Stubbs is.

Re: Baseball
Too bad Neifi had that banned substance problem. Dusty probably couldve got him going and squeezed a few more years out of him.
