The ring-kissers here act like none of us ever criticized Bush for his economic policies. They know better, but it doesn't support the narrative they are trying to create in their own minds.

Obama, the smartest guy ever to be POTUS, looked around when he took office and assessed the state of the nation. He had a plan, based on his understanding of the economic situation he was inheriting. And he confidently predicted a lot of good things that would happen when he put that plan into action. He said the results wouldn't happen over-night and he asked Americans to give him some time. And I think most Americans understood that it was unreasonable to slam the guy after only 1 year in office -- like most of the Bush-haters did here with his predecessor, for instance. From Obama's own enormous intellect and wisdom came a timeframe, after which He, Himself, said that he would not deserve a second term as President, if his plan had not yet produced the results he promised -- 3 years. Obama could not then say, with a straight face, that it would take longer than that.

Well, guess what? Time's up. He's had his chance and all he's been able to produce is bullshit.

Who is that intellectual? She looks like an uberliberal lesbian college professor I know.
According to http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/06 ... ite-house/ the chick flipping the bird at the Reagan portrait is named Zoe Strauss, not my uberliberal lesbian college professor friend. She will be devastated that she has not achieved pnn glory after all.

That is truly pathetic. A 5 year-old could do better.

OTOH, a really smart person would have just as hard a time defending our failed President.

Sandusky just got convicted of 45 out of the 48 charges. He's already done the perp walk (with absolute minimum of restraints, I noticed) and is now being sized up for an orange jumpsuit.

Mississippi Republicans: 52% believe Obama is a Muslim, 29% believe interracial marriage should be illegal

New Poll showing that amongst over 1000 Republicans surveyed, almost 65% believed Obama was not born in America

I don't post very often on this forum because arguing politics is usually futile. But I've got to call bullshit on that one.

Desert Storm should have been begun YEARS before. Because if you don't believe we were at war, you are absolutely, naive. The early 1980s attack on a Marine barracks, Embassy bombings attack on the USS Cole etc... are all things which should have been addressed.

We were already at war. It was simply now done by some of our rules.

Do I believe the war was necessary? Yes. Was it done properly? Fuck no. Go to war, go to win, go to come home.

Absolutely the last time we fought a war to win was WWII. Korea, Viet Nam, both of the Gulf wars were more about profit than winning. And for that, there is no reason for loss of life.

DSL's polls are priceless.

What is the % of dems who will vote for Obama again? That has to be the most embarrassing statistic of all.

Don't know, but about 7-8 dim congressmen have stated they will not be attending the dim convention in NC.

"We will not be attending mainly for scheduling reasons and existing campaign events," he said. "We will be attending the Ohio State Democratic Party convention dinner in late July."

Rocky Fitzsimmons, co-chairman of the Ohio County Democratic Party, said he understands Manchin, Tomblin and Rahall must make decisions they believe are best for their campaigns.

"That said, would I like my top officials to represent West Virginia at the Democratic National Convention? Absolutely," Fitzsimmons said. "I do believe there is a strong portion of the party that supports the president, and it always will exist. I sense there is some disappointment in some pockets of the party about their decision.

"Still, others realize the unpopularity of the president - real or created by media - has created an uncomfortable environment for Democratic candidates to run. They realize the reality of the situation."
