But if you are to handle this probation like seasoned pros at probation management, then you need to do more. Starting with the loss of six schollies and reduction in recruiting. Your AD or University president need to call a press conference and express outrage at the severity of the sanctions. They must thunder from the podium that these penalties are FAR more harsh than the infractions - which never really happened anyway - deserve. Next, you need to sue the NCAA. Then, the Scarlet Chicken Club must activate its special ops unit and start collecting embarrassing information on the personal lives of COI members and threaten to leak it. The local media and ESPN must run a series of stories how badly USC was treated and call for an investigation of the NCAA's unfairness. They must hint that it is Auburn, not USCe, that is truly at fault here.

If you play your cards right, you can plead this thing down to vacating a handful of wins during the Jim Carlen era. But any victories over Clemson will remain.

This summer, I decided to overcome my hatred for Spurrier (it's a weird love/hate, mostly hate thing I have for him), my irritation with the "we're the real Carolina" bullshit and whatever else. I am by no means going to be a die hard SCar fan, but I should support the school. The school and it's alumni have had a huge part in my professional career. Without the scholarship and law degree from SCar, who knows where I would be. Now, how do they repay me? They're tied with Vandy. The starting QB is injured. Vandy is driving to take the lead before the half. Shit. Fuck. Damn.
