No. Two reasons: (1) the wife was in the car screaming at me that I was crazy and (2) shortly after she pulled over, 5-0 arrived.

Yes, my wife did not understand my need to pursue/citizen arrest. And to be honest, it's not something I intended to do, but when I saw it, I just reacted.

A few years before that, I apprehended a shoplifter at Walgreen's. Again, just a reaction. The funny thing was, the district manager was not really happy. He called to get my statement, and told me something along the lines of, 'if you were one of our employees, I would have had to fire you.'

I hope you replied "If I were one of your employees, I would have no will to live anyway..."

Dave, how are you?

Yeah, I wish I could have come up with something clever, but I didn't. Apparently chain retail places will not let employees do anything to stop stuff like that. Liability fears, no doubt.

Had they charged him with less than Murder 2 then maybe there was a 50% chance of a conviction. To many questions and contradictions.

I won't buy in a community with a neighborhood watch at all.

Especially not a "neighbourhood" watch. Sounds English...or even worse Scottish or Canadian.

Holy shit, that's a lot of posts.

I gotta summon the energy to go back to eCat's post I took my original umbrage with. I will at some point. However, until then...

1. BRM - Heh. I covered that earlier (how the media is responding to this "racial" incident). I hear you. It's been filed. I'm not going through it again, I now understand your position quite clearly.
2. Welcome back AA. Glad you're doing well.
3. I took it as sarcasm, aTm's post about confidence and guns.
4. Rat, I expect the charges will get lowered. Spacer brought that up earlier. They may have gone with a more severe charge to illicit a plea, but I think they can lower the charge before the trial starts.

Code: Select all

If a Black guy did this to an unarmed white kid walking home and he wasn''t arrested (as Zimmerman wasn't), you don't think it would make national news? I respectfully disagree.
You damn right it would make the news. Suburbs burning, Mall Of America trashed and looted. Richard Roberts and Franklin Graham mnarching with groups of guys in button down collars shouting "No justice, no peace!" and punching random black guys.
