wife and I stood in line for 2 and a half hours at the Post Office on Saturday. had to get my daughter's passport renewed

okay, so why can't we just mail her old expried one in the way we did with mine? why can't we renew though the mail? Simple

it appears that too many parents were renewing their children's passports for the purpose of taking their child out of the country without the permission of the other parent. So the way government solves this problem, is it forces BOTH parents to stand in a fucking line all morning at the post office, to sign a letter saying that they are allowing their child to renew their passport, so that both parents KNOW that the child will be getting a passport
