Fair. But I was opposed to the Iraq war since about halfway through my deployment there (or, to be more precise, Kuwait). I wasn't opposed to it because I thought it was immoral, just horribly planned and foolishly perpetuated.

As a handy guide, I'm conservative/libertarian on social, fiscal, and 2A issues. But I'm really leery about the US being the world's policeman. And I don't relate at all to the plutocrat/crony capitalism/Gordon Gecko part of Republicanism either. I'm almost a Reagan Democrat on those issues.

This is our fearless leader. Even my 8 year old understands that the Constitution was built for the sole purpose to put constraints on the Federal government.

I completely agree that radical Islam is the greatest threat to world peace. They must not only be decisively defeated, they must feel the pain for their barbaric behavior. It's been done before. The Japanese used to have an ancient Bushido warrior code, but Hiroshima and Nagasaki turned them into lambs. The Germans had been raising hell since they slaughtered three Roman legions in Teutoburg Forest, but the fire bombings of Dresden and Berlin transformed them into hippies. The Muslim radicals need to have a similar introduction to civilization.

I tell you one thing that will NOT civilize them: conquering them, and then nation building them into civilized behavior. We say we support democracy, yet support thugs who blatant steal elections. They execute people for converting to Christianity, we apologize for accidentally burning a few Korans. They just laugh at such weakness.

CIA, Special Ops and drones are much better weapons in the GWOT then using the Army as some sort of neocon Peace Corps for whole Muslim countries. Props to Obama who figured that out.

I noticed that with liberals upholding the Constitution of the United States is "judicial activism" but going against it is good use of judicial athority. Makes sense when you realize the reason they think that way is because they can't stand the constitution and want nothing more than to see it destroyed.

I'm kind of, semi-serious here. I actually talked to a real Anti-Women's Sufferage advocate (I can't believe these people exist, but they do), and he said he is against women having the right to vote based on the following principle: "A woman's right to vote, hurts marriage. It puts a husband and a wife, at odds, makes them enemes, splits a happy home. And why? There are no Men's issues, men do not need government to pay for their vascetomies, do not need government force universities to equalize athletic scholarships, do not need government to force women to pay to make them whole. Instead, men vote SOLELY on what is in the best interest of their wives and children. They vote to empower their own family. On the other hand, women vote on what they perceive to be the best interest of women, their family and society be damned. That is because men vote with their brains and women vote with their vaginas."

I am not going to go all the way with what that guy is saying, but articles like what I am reading at WSJ make me think that the Anti-Sufferagist might have a valid point. Fuck, I'm turning into Archie Bunker.

I think that's true. That's also why liberals are somewhat pissed at Obama. He hasn't gotten us completely out of Iraq or Afghanistan yet. He didn't close Gitmo. Instead of abolishing the Patriot Act, he has increased governmental surveillance powers. He hasn't castrated the Pentagon (although that will probably happen because the Budget Deal).

The biggest difference between Obama's foreign policy and Bush's is Obama has killed a lot more terrorists and decimated Al Qaida.

Oh, I almost forgot: Obama bowed to foreign despots while Bush just held their hand while trolling around Camp David.

This is leftover WWII propaganda designed to make Germans seems particularly warlike and inhumane. The reality is that the English and French killed and conquered far more extensively prior to the 20th century than the Germans did. The Germans were much more the victims of French aggression from the late Middle Ages up until the mid-19th century.
