Rat's sticky napkin reminds me of this helpful hint. If you are drinking in one of the fine establishments that offers a napkin for a coaster, sprinkle a little salt on it and it will not stick to the glass/bottle.

Is that wrong?
Indeed. He should at least have given her a half a minute.

I hate that Carolina lost but without Marshall they didn't have a chance. sort of taints the title for whoever wins it this year but that's the way it goes. all things considered, the consolation prize of UK vs. Louisville in the FF isn't too shabby.
Why does it taint the title? Nobody but UNC fans had them making the Final Four.

I had Kansas in the Final Four from the get-go.

Everybody knew unc wasnt going to waltz into St Louis and beat Kansas in its own back yard. For God's sake, the tarheels lost by 30- 30!- in lowly fsu's backyard. national champion calibre teams dont lose to anyone by 30.

UNC was the only team that could beat UK.

I guarantee Louisville is going to give it their best shot.

Got a note of condolence from D'gaul, he closed with this:

When I saw this headline I was sure it was going to involve Mecca:

I want someone's ass blistered in the middle of Thanksgiving Square.

What is the over/under of how long it will be until Mecca shows up in here if Louisville somehow manages to upset UK?

Its kind of hard to me to get into all the hype.

It was fun to dog on Pitino a few years ago but I don't even really connect with him as a former coach at Kentucky anymore.

The Karen Sypher thing was the exception, but that was more about just the craziness of the situation more than anything else.

Cal likes to fuck with Pitino but for the most part Pitino doesn't reciprocate. Admittedly he didn't have much ammo to return fire. We'll see how humble he is if UL were to actually upset UK Saturday.

I do think that if Pitino could continue this resurgence at UL it would go a long ways to diminishing the Duke/UNC rivalry nationally. But he has already said he is gone in 2017 and I wouldn't be surprised to see Donovan step in and take over, followed by Pitino's son.

LMAO @ the 4 thumbs down picture. I was thinking the same thing when I saw that pic by Rat.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

You wouldn't even know that Ohio State is in the final four around here. That's a good thing.

Its looking more promising for UK to land both Mohammed and Nerlins at this point.

word is leaking out they have decided and UK has backed off the "plan B" recruits

of course you never know what is in the mind of a 17 year old.

On a different note, common sense would tell Harrison Barnes to stay - he is in a similar situation like Keith Bogans was at UK.

Came to UK thinking he was one and done, it became obvious during the season that he wasn't ready, came back for his sophomore year which was a disaster, and then went on a monster training program during the summer between his soph and junior year. Improved his shot, became a leader and pushed his team to a memorably tourney run ended by an injury. He never lived up to his expectations coming out of high school but the skillset he developed over before his junior year made the difference in him having a lengthy NBA career.

That said, if Barnes shows no improvement next year, its a huge gamble for him to stay. I think he's already killed the preseason AA hype for him coming back next year as it is.

here's a reprint of a FANTASTIC article on the Artis Gilmore-led Jacksonville University team that knocked off Kentucky in the 1970 tournament and eventually finished as national runner-up to ucla:
