Actually, I said "
it's Mississippi. Who the fuck is shocked?" I did not expect it, but I was not shocked. In essence, I would not be shocked to see a crowd of Mississippi students devise a racist chant, a crowd of Duke students to devise an elitist one or a crowd of ASU students to devise a smart-ass one. It's playing the percentages.
However, if my admitedly low expectations of the behavior of Mississippi co-eds offends, then my apologies. It was not my intention to do that...but it didn't shock me. Partly because they are children and, yes, also because it was Mississippi. Maybe it's the Confederate flag that keeps my expectations where they are.
