You're right. I suspect when UK is shocked in the Sweet 16, with Jones's stat line in low single digits across the board, he might drop out of the first round altogether. Not that he would deserve it based on that one performance, but as you said, those performances in March seem to count for more than they should. Well, at least you'd be getting him back in Lexington next year, where I'm sure, under the hypothetical circumstance I so longingly described above, he would be received with open arms and shouts of joy. Well, there would be arms (fararms) and shouts, at least..

I don't really think much about Louisville. If with Pitino, if it weren't for their fans living and breathing failure for UK, I'd never keep up with them.

That said, I wanted them to beat Syracuse and I was openly pulling for them, surprising much to the dismay of some of my fellow UK fans.

I don't get rooting for a teams failure over what benefits your program.

the opinion that a syracuse loss benefits uk isn't one i share. #1 overall seed as it relates to uk is a myth. the selection committee ain't doing uk no favors regardless of what the standard operating procedure may be. we'll get the toughest 2 seed regardless of what syracuse does the rest of the way
