Hardly. Were you aware that (currently) in the SEC no one has had more major sanctions than Auburn? They are (currently) the most prolific cheaters in the SEC?

That's true if you include the 1950's. We haven't been on probation since '94. Since then...

It's just true....Auburn are the most prolific cheaters in the SEC. And, if not for a loophole (that they just closed, commonly called the "Newton Rule") would have another one, and lending further underscore to the call of "tainted title" - already in use by many.

Alabama, in our 120-year football history, has had a grand total of TWO probations that involved scholarship reductions. TWO. Hardly the "eternal" pattern you lied about earlier.

You are a liar and a hypocrite. A fine rep for both the "clergy" and Auburn.

And, I would like to thank you, prof. In slow times, my counterpuching of rival fans gets rusty. If not for you initiating attacks and throwing out unfounded allegations, the rust of too few battles may have set in.

AA, I would think at this point you can look at any Auburn fan, point to the #14 and simply move on.

He tasks me. I was sitting at my computer and sending money to a charity.....I could sense his lies and attacks. I had to respond to said attack or lose my membership in the He-Man Auburn Haters Club.

Your Pomposity, which news articles about which of the three Alabama probations since 1995 do you consider a lie? You should vent your pickled spleen on the writers of the articles.

And you'd better check with your accountant; I don't think the Roll Tide Teabagger Legal Defense Fund is a real charity.

What I consider to be a lie is what is a lie: Alabama has not had some "eternal cheat-Win-Probation-Lose cycle". We've had TWO probations in 120 years which have rendered scholarship reductions.

That's it. For all time.

Retract your 'eternal cheat-Win-Probation-Lose cycle' statement or forever be branded a liar and a hypocrite, as well as a fan of the most prolific cheaters in the SEC.

Crimson Gasbag,

Is it really your contention that, just because the NCAA "only" stripped you of 21 wins in your 2009 probation,

http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/31245888/

... it really wasn't really a probation? What part of the word "probation" and "third since 1995" do you not understand? Seems like a guy who could have gone to Harvard could figure that out. It's not that complicated.

Looks like we finally got a new OC:

http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2012 ... _asse.html

Not a home run like Van Gorder, but pretty good. He coached Tebow at Florida and Brady at Michigan. His NFL experience may help him save this recruiting class.

Wow, you're a dumbass. I'll try to spell it out for you: you were talking about the win streak that Auburn had over Bama and qualified by saying something about 'this was during one of Alabama's eternal cheat-win-probation phases.'

1. The book loan punishment was handed down under Saban.

2. The book loan punishment retroactively stripped some wins.

3. Retroactively stripping wins does not impact a team's future ability to win games.

4. Alabama has won 3 of the last 4 vs Auburn.

5. Auburn are the most prolific cheaters in the SEC.

Bombast-Alum,

Since you were calling me a liar because I referred to the Cheat-Win-Probation-Lose pattern at Alabama, here is the timeline proving what I was talking about:

CHEAT:
*Contrary to N.C.A.A. rules, an Alabama player accepted six loans from boosters in 1989 and 1990. The loans, totaling $24,400, were never repaid.
*Another player was allowed to play in 11 regular-season games in 1993 although he had signed with an agent. The N.C.A.A. said Alabama officials did not pursue the matter diligently and did not notify the N.C.A.A. until almost 11 months after the signing.

Source: http://www.nytimes.com/1995/08/03/sport ... tball.html
WIN: 1992 Alabama wins the National Championship

PROBATION: 1995 Alabama goes on probation for the above cheating.

LOSE: 1997 Alabama goes 4-7, 2000 Alabama goes 3-8. Fires Coach Shula.

CHEAT:
 An Alabama booster previously identified as Logan Young of Memphis, Tenn., gave cash to a high school coach who was seeking $100,000 cash and two sport-utility vehicles in exchange for directing star recruit Albert Means to Alabama.
 An assistant coach, former recruiting coordinator Ronnie Cottrell, received two loans totaling $56,600 from Young in violation of NCAA rules. The loan was not repaid until the case became known.
 Two boosters involved in repeated rules violations were known to the Alabama staff, coaches and fans and often were seen at the team hotel during road games.
 A recruit, identified previously as Travis Carroll, was given the use of a car in 1999 for agreeing to attend Alabama. The car was repossessed when Carroll transferred to Florida.

WIN: 1999 Alabama goes 10-3. 2002 Alabama goes 10-2.

PROBATION: 2002 Alabama goes on probation for above cheating.

LOSE: 2003 Alabama goes 4-9. 2004 Alabama goes 6-6.

CHEAT:
The NCAA said 201 athletes in 16 sports obtained “impermissible benefits” by using their scholarships to obtain free textbooks for other students. Alabama identified 22 athletes, including seven football players, as “intentional wrongdoers” who knew they were receiving improper benefits.
As a result, the NCAA ruled the football team must vacate any wins in which any of those seven players took part during 2005-07. Alabama said that pending a successful appeal, the decision would cost the program 21 wins, including the 2005 Cotton Bowl victory over Texas Tech and an upset of Florida earlier that season.
Eight of the wins using ineligible players occurred in 2005, Mike Shula’s best season as coach.

WIN: 2009 Alabama wins the National Championship.

CHEAT: In violation of the following NCAA rule:
"12.5.2.1 Advertisements and Promotions After Becoming a Student-Athlete. After becoming a student-athlete, an individual shall not be eligible for participation in intercollegiate athletics if the individual: (a) Accepts any remuneration for or permits the use of his or her name or picture to advertise, recommend or promote directly the sale or use of a commercial product or service of any kind."
...several Alabama players (including photographed signing sports gear at Tom's T-Town Menswear:

Players include Mark Ingram...

Julio Jones...

WIN: 2011 Alabama wins the National Championship.

You said eternal. We have had two probations in history that had scholarship reductions that would cause us to lose. Eternal? No. Habitual? No. More than two times? No.

You posting the same links over and over again just make you look sillier.

And now you are posting alleged violations from an Internet message board? Shocking. Want me to post pics of Michael Dyer signing stuff?

As I've said before, you wield Internet rumors like a drunken sailor with a broken bottle.

Every day when I read your lies and gossip-mongering and hypocrisy, I am shocked. You are a bad person; the personification of bad ethics - which is all bad enough for a regular Joe, but the fact that you don the robes in a sham attempt at fooling convicts into believing that you have some "Higher Calling" is mind blowing. In fact, it makes me thank god I am an atheist.

Speaking of rumors, there is a popular rumor out about Michael Dyer and infractions and how that was used to leverage his release to another D-1 school. There is also a rumor about the cars that three Auburn recruits are driving. Finally, another one involves a current player and a picture of him holding a stack of cash.

Did I run here and post them? No. Will I elaborate further? No. Why? Simple. It would be wrong. Let the NCAA investigate and I will discuss the matter. Up until then, it's just gossip.

How is probation going, DSL? I almost bought Pryor's "golden pants" off eBay. Wish I would have now. What's funny is in the wake of such a sweeping probation and having a coach fired in shame, you reach out, whimpering, to hire a 'retired' SEC coach to lead you back to prominence.
