I hope Peyton does go elsewhere. Of course, if he does, it will only be because of the uncertainty surrounding his injury. Even with Luck available in the draft and Peyton's age, there's no chance the Colts would ever part with him if he was healthy. But they now know that they're essentially a one-man team. And they can't afford to give up a chance to get a guy who might develop into a good QB and also get some help at other positions at the same time. The only way they can do that is to part ways with Peyton. But they'd still throw all of those considerations out the window and keep him, if it weren't for the injury. He's that valuable.

Congrats to Brady.

Yet another fourth-quarter comeback, another clutch drive in the postseason. (fact)

Ties Joe Montana for most playoff wins (fact)

Ties John Elway with his fifth Super Bowl start at quarterback (fact)

Until March 7th when the Coits cut him, today will go down as the worst day in Peyton Manning history. He can't win. His team is hosting a Super Bowl in which either Brady cements his hold as the greatest QB of his era or Eli passes him in Super Bowl rings.

Brady's team won and that's all that matters for the Pats and their fans. But Brady was pretty awful. 57.5 passer rating. 2 INTs and 0 TDs. If the Ravens had a kicker worth a shit, the Pats could easily be watching from home on SB Sunday.

But they're in. Good for them. I'm predicting a Giants win right now. Eli proved today why he is better than Brady. He got his ass kicked, but he still got the job done. 300+ yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs. And that's despite being hurried all day and sacked 6 times. Brady was only sacked once and he was still shitting his britches out there.

Peyton will retake his edge over Brady in career passer rating in the playoffs. He and Brady now both have 11 career playoff games with at least 1 INT and both have thrown 19 career playoff INTs. Interesting, huh?

Brady owned his performance as soon as he was asked about it.

he didn't blame his pass protection, or throw his kicker under the bus, he put the blame on himself.

still, he led yet another fourth-quarter comeback, and even scored the game-winning points himself.

this Super Bowl will make ValNation's head explode.

either Eli surpasses his brother, or Brady further cements his place as the best ever.

and the national conversation has gone from 'is Peyton the best in the game' to 'is Peyton even the best in his own family?'

too funny

Brady was right to take the blame. He stunk it up and almost cost his TEAM the win. Fortunately for him, as has been the case for much of his career, his TEAM was better than the other TEAM. And no one was going to ask him a direct question about his OL when he was only sacked once. It was obvious that he was the problem and not the OL. If that makes you happy, then so be it.

I guess Peyton's year-off has dulled your memory. So here's a refresher on the all-time passing yardage leaders in NFL history:

1. Brett Favre 71838
2. Dan Marino 61361
3. Peyton Manning (Active) 54828
4. John Elway 51475
5. Warren Moon 49325
6. Fran Tarkenton 47003
7. Vinny Testaverde 46233
8. Drew Bledsoe 44611
9. Dan Fouts 43040
10. Kerry Collins 40922
11. Drew Brees (Active) 40742
12. Joe Montana 40551
13. Johnny Unitas 40239

I don't see Brady or Eli on this list anywhere...hmmm...

Honestly, this is like shooting fish in a barrel. If Peyton had a 57 passer rating and threw no TDs and 2 INTs, these yahoos would be screaming their lungs out to anyone who would listen. But Brady does it and...nothing.

were you talking about Peyton in the 2006 AFC playoffs (the year the team carried him to his only ring)?

personally I'm glad its giants patriots

nothing would be more satisfying then watching the hoodie's head exploding if the pats lose to the giants again
death threats to #10 per his twitter account---dumbasses its' a game people get a life--although tweeting somebody a death threat should be easy to trace thus proving the term dumbasses

Hah...so predictable. Close to if not worst game of his playoff career which you criticize other un-named QBs for despite their win. I'm just glad he was able to knock that ball out of the Raven WR's hands and then blow hard enough from the sideline to make the FG kicker miss.

That deal with the devil continues.
