Many insurances will not reimburse for a PET for CP r/o MI or SOB. So, to that clinician and patient, efficacy is moot.

I figured as much, but my question still stands regarding which gives the better information.

Do you guys have the equipment to do a rb cardiac pet/ct? Curious. I can't remember off the top of my head but I think you may need a 64 slice ct or better. Maybe a 40 will work?

It will be interesting to see how the Republicans handle Ron Paul and his supporters. The Establishment should be careful.

Republicans have historically written off college students and young people as being hopelessly liberal and therefore in the tank for the Democrats. Therefore I find it an amazing development that so many college students and young people have so spontaneously flocked to Paul in this election. It's not like they were exactly enticed by the GOP as a whole.

Students and young people traditionally have a reputation of looking for government handouts. So conservatives should be delighted that they have responded so enthusiastically to a message of Constitution-based government, a radical reduction of the size, power and expense of Washington, and maximization of free individual choice. If my two college student sons are any indication, their generation has developed a proper and deep suspicion of government's ability to do anything right. They are well aware that the current recession - and their own dimmed job outlook after graduation - was largely caused by the government interfering with the housing market. They are also quite aware that their own paychecks will be permanently shrunk in order to pay for a social security system that they will never collect from. In short, college students and young people have little faith in Big Government and are wide open to a small government message. And they are rallying to Ron Paul because he is the purest small government Republican candidate available. If properly recruited, college students and young people could be a gold mine of votes for the Republicans that could last a generation.

But they are not being recruited by the GOP. They are correctly observing that Paul is the second most successful vote getter in the first two elections. He has won far more votes so far than either Gingrich or Santorum. Yet, if you watch Fox or other conservative media, you will hear about every candidate except Paul. Today, Hunstman will bow out of the race, along with his tiny following, but that will be treated like big news.

There are two large voting blocks out there - the Paul supporters and the Tea Partiers - to which the Establishment is now giving the middle finger. The Gordon Gecko wing of the party is saying, "Listen up you religious nutcases and unbathed hippies: Romney is the nominee. We had a meeting at the Augusta National six months ago and decided. Deal with it. So show up and vote next November, and make sure your inbred relatives and stoner friends do the same. End of discussion."
