again, point being that paying such an exorbitant cost for a QB and only winning a playoff game every 3-4 years isn't worth it. it would be a disappointment in the eyes of Redskin fans.

And, yes, from the perspective of a franchise that has appeared in five Super Bowls and six NFL championship games (in the pre-Super Bowl era).... a quarterback who fails to make the playoffs over 70 percent of the time is considered a disappointment.

you think taking on Peyton's contract, given his age and his injury, and his track record in the postseason is 'worth it'?
(and a $28 million dolloar bonus due in March, to boot...)

when HEALTHY and in his prime, he only won a playoff game in four of his 14 seasons.

that equates to one out of 3 or 4 seasons, he manages to win a playoff game.
