you may want to review Redskins history a little closer. 'Just making the playoffs and losing the first game' is a relative disappointment.

and, reviewing Peyton's career, that's his typical output.

Heard same dumbass on ESPN interviewing Herm Edwards on their little segment just about this very thing. And he (Not Herm) said something like "Manning...Madison Avenuse...Loves the spotlight...NY seems like a good fit..."

I was like WTF? When has Manning EVER acted like a ME first player. He has always been humble IMO and just because he has a ton load of endorsements and commericals, doesn't mean he is a "Madison Avenue" type of personality. In fact, he goes out of his WAY to control what kind of press is out there about him. Hell, most people didn't know his wife was prego, until she spit out twins.

If he REALLY wants to play for the Jets and be under that type of scrunity the rest of his career, then good luck.

<cue Rickart's rants>

I will however beat him to the punch on one.

<best Rickart impression> Why on earth would Manning want to see Brady TWICE a year???</bri>

Why did you make me look? Two winning seasons since '99? That's depressing as all hell.....now I'm starting to hate Peyton a little bit myself..

Did the NFL begin 11 years ago?

hell, Peyton's been in the league 14 years.... (with playoff wins in only four of those 14 seasons)

Got it. You don't want Peyton because he doesn't win enough in the postseason...citing the fact that he QB'd in 9 wins during the same stretch when the skins only won once.

You have no appreciable reasoning skills, and you surely have no shame. But you are one tenacious sob....I hope for your sake you're in sales.

Rat - So Peyton doing SNL, makes him want to be in that huge spotlight? So because you baked some bread for your kids with that Bread Maker Xmas present, does that make you a professional baker now? Just because you grill out on the BBQ, does that make you Bobby Flay now? Just because you sucked a dick once for crack, does that make you a cocksucker for life? Okay, maybe the last one is true but you get the point.

14 seasons, 10 of which yields zero playoff wins, only four seasons in which he won a playoff game.

4 out of 14. Meaning over 70 percent of the time, he fails to win a playoff game.

And, yes, from the perspective of a franchise that has appeared in five Super Bowls and six NFL championship games (in the pre-Super Bowl era).... a quarterback who fails to make the playoffs over 70 percent of the time is considered a disappointment.

Fails to make the playoffs 70% of the time? By my count Manning made the playoffs in 11 of the 13 seasons he played in.

The Redskins have never made the playoffs 11 times in a 13 year period.

The Redskins do have a roughly 10 year period of greater success than the Manning era (roughly correlating to Joe Gibbs being the coach, not a quarterback) where they won 16 playoff games. Theisman, Schroeder, Williams, and Rypien all split quarterbacking duties for most of those victories.

This is completely off topic but...

Last night at work I had a Pats fan attempt to berate Alabama/LSU 1 and 2... he was complaining about a field goal.

How ironic is that?

Four of the greatest QBs to ever play the game, for sure.

i said 'failed to win a playoff game' 70% of the time.

not quite sure where you turned that into 'failed to make the playoffs'....
