Congratulations, guys.

I hope you'll understand if I can't stomach watching the award ceremony.

Held LSU to 92 yeards. Ninety-two.

Amazing.

I don't think LSU's offense attempted a single pass to the TE, or attempted a screen or draw or a counter to slow down the pass rush, or did anything that struggling offenses usually do to get a few yards. Instead, they just ran option after option...

Other than that one sack late in the game, Bama's O-line gave McCarron plenty of time all night.

48.

That's the number of wins by Alabama in 4 years. The 2008 recruiting class and this staff have performed masterfully.

I had the same impression watching Stanford play Okie St. - that either Alabama or LSU would blow both of them out.

The best team won. It's a damned shame the first game had so many missed opportunities or this might have gone down as the best team ever (in the discussion anyway). The defense certainly is the best I've ever seen in college.

Did we ever get a count on how many times Brent Musberger said 'Honey Badger' last night?

I lost count in the first 10 min of action. I think Mus was pissed we went on defense first.

About a tenth of the number of times he said 'Folks...'

btw, congrats to the Tide. That first FG was all you needed. One does not beat the Nick two times in a row.

You could do a whole thread on how/why Brent Mussberger is ABC's number one announcer. No theory is too far out there imo (blackmail, gamma rays, New Age thinking etc).

As it is, I'll just offer congrats to the red elephants.

I'm just glad it wasn't close. If it had been close, the caterwauling for a split title would have been ridiculous.

Yeah, 55 of the 60 AP voters put Bama as number 1. Four for Okie Lite and one vote for LSU (the moron in AZ).
