Yeah, I thought it was set up well to get you seeing it through the gringo's eyes, then hitting you hard over the head with the exploitation.

I know cats who go to Costa Rica every couple of years...cops, financial professionals, educators...and I don't judge, but the hoe game is a very sad business if you take 20 paces back and look at it.

I won't lie though, I've seen some of the photos that came back from these trips, and the soil is fertile down there. Lots of talent. That's why I said I wasn't going to Rio until I was married (and bringing the wife). It's easy to sit outside and say how horrible it is...but then you have a couple of drinks in you and a cinnamon-tinted chick with auburn hair, hazel eyes and a flat stomach to hip ratio that makes geometry proud starts making her case for your time...

There is more to do in Costa Rica than just the sex trade. It's a worthwhile destination on its own.

Yeah, the article gives a bit of a head nod towards that. However, it's obvious the sex trade is a huge economic engine to CR...and maybe the largest economic engine, in a way.
